Pull a List of Sites Using a Specific Technology Into a Google Sheet

The Scenario

Your agency just landed a pitch meeting with a prospective client who runs Marketo migrations. They want proof you know the market before the call — specifically, a list of companies currently running Marketo that haven't made the move yet. You have BuiltWith access. You have a blank Excel workbook. The call is in four hours.

The bad version:

  • Log into BuiltWith's technology report interface, configure the filter for Marketo, wait for the export to generate, download the CSV
  • Open the CSV in a separate window, realize it has 30 columns you don't need, delete them, fix the encoding issues in the domain column, convert the country codes to full names
  • Copy the cleaned rows into your working workbook, discover the domains don't match the format your CRM expects, manually strip the subdomains from 200 rows

You're supposed to be preparing talking points, not reformatting CSVs. The call prep isn't going to happen if the list isn't ready.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent that lives inside your Excel workbook. It reads the workbook context and talks to BuiltWith on your behalf — no exports, no reformatting, no column surgery.

Open a blank Excel workbook and ask:

Use BuiltWith to get the first 500 websites using Marketo and write each domain, country, and detected technologies to this worksheet starting at row 2. Add headers in row 1.

SheetXAI pulls the list from BuiltWith, formats it into a clean table, and writes it to the worksheet — ready to filter, sort, or hand off.

What You Get

  • Row 1 with headers: Domain, Country, Technologies
  • One row per domain from row 2 onward, with the root domain, the BuiltWith-detected country, and a comma-separated list of detected technologies
  • The worksheet is ready to filter — you can immediately ask SheetXAI to narrow to a specific country or co-occurring technology

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

I need two technologies — I want sites running both Marketo and Salesforce

Use BuiltWith to find websites that currently use both Marketo and Salesforce. Pull the first 300 results and write domain, country, and full technology list to this worksheet with headers in row 1.

I only want results from a specific country — US-based companies only

Pull a list of the first 200 US-based websites currently running Marketo from BuiltWith. Write domain, country, and detected technologies to this worksheet. Only include rows where the country is United States.

I want to split the results by industry size — add a column for whether the site looks like enterprise or SMB

Get the first 400 websites running Marketo from BuiltWith. Write domain, country, and technologies to columns A, B, C. In column D, add a Size estimate: if the detected technology stack includes Salesforce, SAP, or Oracle, write "Enterprise". Otherwise write "SMB".

Full prospecting prep in one shot

Use BuiltWith to pull the first 500 sites running Marketo. Write domain, country, and technology list to columns A, B, C. In column D, flag "Has Salesforce" or "No Salesforce" based on whether Salesforce appears in the tech stack. Sort the results so "Has Salesforce" rows appear first.

One prompt delivers the list, the flag, and the sort. The CSV reformatting workflow ceases to exist.
