Run a Bulk On-Page SEO Audit Into an Excel Workbook With DataForSEO

The Scenario

You are a content strategist. You have 30 blog post URLs in column A of an Excel workbook and the site health report is due to the client on Friday afternoon.

The report needs title length, meta description, status code, and page load time for every URL.

The bad version:

  • You paste each URL into a browser-based SEO audit tool one at a time
  • You manually copy the four metrics per page into the workbook
  • The tool limits free audits to 25 pages and you have 30
  • You upgrade for one month just to finish the job
  • Your Excel workbook is open in the desktop app and pasting across windows keeps breaking your column widths
  • The report is half-populated by Thursday night.

The fast version is one prompt.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent inside your Excel workbook that reads your URL list, submits DataForSEO on-page audit tasks for every URL in batch, and writes every audit result back to the workbook.

Open the SheetXAI sidebar and type:

Create a DataForSEO on-page crawl task for each URL in column A of my Pages to Audit tab and once the tasks complete, pull the results including title length, meta description, status code, and page load time into columns B through E.

SheetXAI submits the batch, waits for each task to complete, fetches the audit results, and writes every field into the right column. You come back to a fully populated workbook.

What You Get

A completed audit workbook with four new columns per URL:

  • Column B — title tag character count
  • Column C — meta description text (or "missing" if absent)
  • Column D — HTTP status code
  • Column E — page load time in seconds

Every URL covered. Sort by load time to find slowest pages, filter for status code 404 to flag broken links, or filter for title length over 60 characters to spot over-optimized tags.

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

Audit URL lists have messy formatting and mixed requirements. SheetXAI handles both in one prompt.

When some URLs have inconsistent formatting

Some rows include the full protocol and trailing slash, others are just paths.

Normalize all URLs in column A of the Pages to Audit tab to include the full protocol (https://). Then create DataForSEO on-page tasks for each and write title length, meta description, status code, and load time into columns B through E.

When you need a Lighthouse score for the highest-traffic pages

The client wants SEO, performance, and accessibility scores for the ten core pages separately from the full crawl.

Run a DataForSEO Lighthouse audit for the 10 URLs in column A of my Core Pages tab. Write the SEO score, performance score, and accessibility score for each into columns C, D, and E.

When you want priority flags added automatically

Instead of reading every row, you want problem pages flagged.

Run DataForSEO on-page audits for all URLs in column A of the Pages to Audit tab. Write title length, meta description, status code, and load time into columns B through E. Add a column F called Priority Flag: mark any row where load time exceeds 3 seconds, status code is not 200, or title length is over 60 characters.

When you need the full audit plus a written client summary in one shot

The Friday report needs the data table and an executive summary paragraph.

Run DataForSEO on-page audits for all 30 URLs in column A of the Pages to Audit tab. Write title length, meta description, status code, and load time into columns B through E. Then create a new Summary tab and write a short paragraph identifying the three most common issues across all 30 pages and listing the five URLs with the worst combined scores.

The pattern: the audit and the client summary happen in one prompt, so the Friday deliverable is ready without a second step.
