Verify Individual Emails From a Google Sheet and Enrich With Emailable Metadata

The Scenario

The handoff email in your inbox said "verified and ready to go" but it was from a colleague who left the company last month. You're a B2B sales rep picking up a 40-row prospect workbook they built before their last day — each email hand-researched from LinkedIn, company sites, and conference attendee lists. No one actually ran verification on any of them. You're supposed to start personalized outreach this week, and one bad batch of bounces can get your sending domain flagged.

The bad version:

  • Copy the 40 emails one by one into Emailable's single-email checker in the dashboard, recording each result manually into a notes column — a task that takes around 90 minutes and leaves your eyes crossed.
  • Realize partway through that you need MX status and disposable flags in addition to the basic deliverable/undeliverable status, so you go back through the results and note those separately.
  • Lose your place at row 23 when a Slack message pulls you away for 20 minutes.

Forty rows is small enough that it feels like it shouldn't take long. It shouldn't. But it does when you're doing it manually, and the cost of a wrong assumption here is your domain reputation, not just your afternoon.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent inside your Excel workbook. It reads the data, talks to Emailable's single-verify endpoint for each address, and writes the results back with the specific metadata fields you ask for — no dashboard switching, no copy-paste loop.

Here's the prompt for this task:

Verify every email address in column A of my Excel sheet one by one using Emailable and fill in the status, MX record availability, and risk level in the adjacent columns.

What You Get

  • Column B: deliverability status for each address ("deliverable," "risky," "undeliverable," or "unknown").
  • Column C: MX record availability — whether the domain has a valid mail exchange record.
  • Column D: Emailable's risk level for that address.
  • Each row matched back correctly so the results don't drift from the address they belong to.

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

You also need the reason code and whether the address is flagged as role-based

For each email in column A, call Emailable's single-verify endpoint and write the deliverability status to column B, the MX record status to column C, whether it's a role account to column D, and the risk level to column E.

Some rows in column A have a name and email combined in one cell, like "John Smith john@company.com"

For each row in column A, extract the email address from the cell (some cells contain the name and email together in the format "Name <email>"), then call Emailable's single-verify endpoint and write deliverability, MX status, and risk level to columns B, C, and D.

You want to skip anyone who already has a CRM stage recorded in column F

Verify each email in column A where column F is blank using Emailable's single-verify endpoint. Write deliverability to column B, MX status to column C, and risk level to column D. Leave rows where column F already has a value untouched.

You want a full enrichment pass plus an outreach recommendation in one shot

For each email in column A, call Emailable single-verify and write deliverability to column B, MX status to column C, risk level to column D, and disposable flag to column E. Then, in column F, write an outreach decision: "reach out," "verify manually," or "skip" — based on the combination of deliverability and risk level.

One prompt handles the verification, the enrichment, and the decision logic. The thinking doesn't have to happen in a separate step.
