Export Exist Insights Into a Excel workbook

The Scenario

You're a habit coach. Every month you send a newsletter with curated data stories — insights about what actually drives outcomes for people who track their lives. You use your own Exist data as the source material.

Exist generates AI insights automatically: text snippets like "You tend to have more productive minutes on days following 7+ hours of sleep" or "Your mood scores are consistently lower on days with high screen time." There are usually 15-20 of them at any given time, and they rotate as new patterns emerge.

What you need is all of them in an Excel workbook — one row per insight, with the insight text, the related attribute, and the date it was generated — so you can read through, highlight the ones with the clearest narrative, and paste the best three into the newsletter draft.

The Exist app shows you insights one at a time. There's no "export all insights" button.

The bad version:

  • Open Exist, navigate to the Insights section, read the first insight, open your Excel workbook, scroll to the next empty row, type the insight text, type the attribute name, type today's date
  • Go back to Exist. Read the next insight. Return to the workbook. Repeat 14 more times
  • Realize you missed insight number 9 because you lost your place, and now you're not sure which ones you've already copied

Your newsletter goes out on Friday. It's Thursday evening, you have a draft half-written, and you still don't have the source material.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent inside your Excel workbook. It connects to Exist through its built-in integration, pulls all current insights, and writes them into your cells in a single pass.

Pull the latest insights from Exist into my Excel sheet with the description and attribute name so I can filter for sleep and mood patterns

What You Get

  • Row 1: headers — Insight, Attribute, Date
  • One row per insight currently available in Exist
  • Full insight text in column A
  • Related attribute name in column B (e.g., "sleep", "mood", "steps")
  • Date the insight was generated in column C
  • Ready to read, filter, and paste — no formatting needed

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

Fetch all my Exist insights and write them into my Excel sheet, but only include rows where the related attribute is "sleep" or "mood"

The insight text includes line breaks that break your cell formatting

Pull all my Exist insights into my Excel sheet — clean any line breaks or special characters from the insight text so each insight fits cleanly in a single cell

You want to score each insight by length as a proxy for specificity

Fetch all my Exist insights and write insight text, attribute, date, and character count into my Excel sheet — sort by character count descending so the most detailed insights appear first

The full insight export plus a curated shortlist in one shot

Pull all my recent Exist insights into Sheet1 with text, attribute, and date — then in Sheet2 copy only the insights where the character count is above 120 characters, sorted by date, so I have a curated shortlist ready to review for the newsletter

One prompt surfaces the full archive and isolates the most substantial entries automatically.
