The Scenario
You are a sales director. Every Monday at 8 AM you run a pipeline review. The data lives in an Excel workbook that gets refreshed by a CRM export over the weekend.
Your company has a saved Gamma template called Weekly Pipeline Review. Leadership has come to expect it, same branding, same slide order, same fields in the same place.
The slow version every Monday morning:
- One of your reps reads the pipeline rows from the Pipeline tab
- Switches to Gamma's web app, picks the template, manually retypes deal name, stage, ARR, and close date for each opportunity
- Fixes formatting where things did not line up
- Sends the link by 7:55 if they are lucky
Every week. Forever. Until somebody quits.
The fast version is one prompt.
The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI
SheetXAI reads your Pipeline tab and writes the Gamma prompt for you, against your saved template, so you do not have to fill in the deal cards by hand.
Open the SheetXAI sidebar and type:
Generate a Gamma presentation using my company's Weekly Pipeline Review template. Pull all rows from the Pipeline tab and create one card per deal showing account name, opportunity value, and next step. Use the template's branding.
SheetXAI pulls the list of templates from your Gamma workspace, picks the one you named, reads the pipeline rows from Excel, fills the template, and writes the Gamma URL into a cell.
What You Get
The same deck shape your team is used to, produced in one prompt instead of fifteen minutes of cleanup:
- Same branding — the template carries the company colors and logo
- Same slide order — leadership knows where to look
- Same field positions — deal name where deal name has always been
- One card per deal — filled with values from the workbook
Missing fields get flagged, not faked. If a deal is missing a stage, the slide shows a flag instead of leaving the card half-empty.
The template lives in Gamma, not in SheetXAI. When leadership wants a new field on the deal card next quarter, you update the template once in Gamma, and the next time SheetXAI runs the same prompt, it picks up the new shape. No prompt rewrite, no engineering ticket.
What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready
CRM exports are rarely deck-ready. SheetXAI fills the template and does the cleanup in the same prompt.
When the export has duplicate deals
The same deal appears in multiple rows because the export ran twice on Friday.
Deduplicate the Pipeline tab by deal name, keeping the row with the most recent stage update. Then use the Weekly Pipeline Review template in Gamma to generate the deck.
When stage names are inconsistent
Some rows say "Closed Won," some say "Closed-Won," some just "Won." Your template expects one canonical name.
Normalize the stage names in column C of the Pipeline tab to match my five standard stages: Prospecting, Qualified, Proposal, Negotiation, Closed Won. Then generate the Gamma deck using the Weekly Pipeline Review template.
When you only want this quarter's deals
The export has every open deal regardless of close date. You want the deck to focus on what is closing soon.
Filter the Pipeline tab to deals with a close date in the current quarter. Then generate the Gamma deck using the Weekly Pipeline Review template, one card per filtered deal, sorted by close date ascending.
When leadership wants the top 3 deals highlighted
Same template, but pull the biggest deals to the front.
Identify the three deals with the highest ARR in the Pipeline tab. Add a "Top Opportunities" section at the front of the deck featuring those three with extra detail. Then fill the rest of the template normally with the remaining deals.
The pattern: the template enforces consistency, the prompt does the data work. Together they replace the Monday morning scramble.
