The Scenario
You are a VP of Sales. It is Friday at 4 PM and you want a clean leaderboard of your 15 reps by the Gong metrics that actually matter — call volume, average talk ratio, and customer engagement score — before you close your laptop for the weekend.
Not self-reported. Not from a Monday morning meeting. From Gong, right now, in Excel where your ops team can annotate it and share it with the regional directors.
The slow version:
- Log into Gong, navigate to team activity
- Export to CSV — which drops two of the columns you need
- Open the CSV in Excel, fix the headers, delete the columns you do not want
- Build a RANK formula for engagement score
- Format the table so the regional directors can read it in an email
- It is 5:30 and the rank column still references the wrong row.
The fast version is one prompt.
The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI
SheetXAI is an AI agent inside your Excel workbook that reads Gong directly, so you do not have to touch the export interface.
Open the SheetXAI sidebar and type:
Fetch aggregate activity statistics for all Gong users for the past 7 days and write each user's name, number of calls, total talk time in minutes, and average interactivity score into columns A through D. Then rank users by interactivity score from highest to lowest in column E.
SheetXAI pulls the stats, writes every rep as a row, and builds the rank in column E. Fifteen reps, four metrics, one ranking — all before 4:30.
What You Get
A clean leaderboard tab with one row per rep:
- Column A — rep name
- Column B — total calls in the past 7 days
- Column C — total talk time in minutes
- Column D — average interactivity score
- Column E — rank by interactivity score (1 = top)
Interactivity score is the number that doesn't lie. A rep who makes 40 calls and talks through all of them has a different number than a rep who makes 30 calls and drives real two-way conversation.
What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready
When some reps had zero calls because they were traveling
You do not want a rep who was at a conference to anchor the bottom of the leaderboard unfairly.
Fetch Gong activity stats for all reps for the past 7 days. Write name, calls, talk time, and interactivity score into columns A through D. In column F, write "OUT" for any rep with zero calls and exclude them from the rank in column E.
When you want to compare this week to last week
The VP of SMB wants to see who improved, not just who is on top right now.
Fetch Gong activity stats for this week and the prior week. Write this week's stats in columns A through D and last week's stats in columns F through I. In column J, calculate the interactivity score change per rep and sort by change descending in column K.
When the leaderboard should split by team segment
Your 15 reps span SMB and Enterprise. Each VP wants to see their cohort ranked separately.
Fetch Gong stats for the past 7 days. Write name, team segment (from the Gong user record), calls, talk time, and interactivity score into columns A through E. Rank reps within each team separately in column F.
When you want the full leaderboard — pull, rank, format, and summary — in one go
Blank workbook tab, leadership review call in an hour.
Fetch aggregate Gong activity stats for all reps for the past 7 days. Write name, calls, talk time, and interactivity score into columns A through D. Rank by interactivity score descending in column E. Highlight the top 3 rows green and the bottom 3 red. Write a one-sentence summary in cell A17 naming the top performer and the lowest-ranked rep with their scores.
The pattern: the pull, the ranking, and the formatting are one ask.
Try It
Get the 7-day free trial of SheetXAI and open a blank workbook tab, then ask it to pull your team's Gong stats for any time window. The Gong integration is included in every SheetXAI plan. For related workflows, see how to pull Gong interaction stats and flag reps who are over-talking or the Gong in Excel overview.
