Bulk People Enrichment With Hunter From an Excel workbook

The Scenario

You're a recruiter. A colleague who left last month handed off an Excel workbook with 200 candidate email addresses in column A. No names. No titles. No LinkedIn profiles. You need job title, LinkedIn URL, and current location for each person before you can prioritize outreach, and your ATS won't accept an import without at least a name and title.

Your hiring manager wants a shortlist by Friday. It is Wednesday.

The bad version:

  • Google each email address, try to find the person on LinkedIn, copy their job title and location, paste into the workbook.
  • For the ones who don't surface in a search, open Hunter's people enrichment one by one.
  • Get through 30 rows before noticing you've spent 45 minutes and you still have 170 left.

You were hired to screen candidates. Not to build the spreadsheet that lets you screen them.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent that lives inside your Excel workbook. It reads your email addresses and through its Hunter integration it can enrich each one with person-level data — name, title, employer, LinkedIn profile, location — and write it all back to the workbook in one run.

Enrich all email addresses in column B using Hunter's combined enrichment and fill in person name, current employer, seniority, and LinkedIn handle in the adjacent columns.

What You Get

  • Full name as Hunter has it, written to the adjacent column.
  • Current job title and current employer in the following columns.
  • Seniority level (executive, senior, junior) where Hunter has it.
  • LinkedIn profile URL.
  • Rows where Hunter returned no enrichment data left blank for manual follow-up.

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

Some email addresses are no longer valid and you want to filter them before enriching

Your colleague's list is old enough that some addresses might be dead. Running enrichment on them wastes API calls.

Before enriching, verify every email in column A using Hunter's email verifier. Write the verification status to column B. Then run people enrichment only for addresses where column B is "VALID". Write name, title, company, LinkedIn, and location to columns C–G for those rows only.

You want to prioritize candidates at specific companies

You're filling a niche role and you know the profile — someone at a Series B SaaS company in a product or engineering function.

Enrich all emails in column A with Hunter's people enrichment. Write name to column B, job title to column C, current company to column D, LinkedIn to column E. Add a column F that marks each row "PRIORITY" if the title contains "engineer", "product", or "designer", and "REVIEW" for everything else.

You have candidate emails across two worksheets and want to enrich both

Your ATS export is on the "ATS Candidates" worksheet and inbound applications are on the "Inbound" worksheet.

Enrich all email addresses in column A of the "ATS Candidates" worksheet and all email addresses in column A of the "Inbound" worksheet using Hunter's people enrichment. Write all results — source worksheet, email, name, title, company, LinkedIn, location — to a new worksheet called "Enriched".

You want enrichment + verification + an ATS-ready import in one shot

Your ATS import template needs: email, first name, last name, title, current company, LinkedIn, location, and a verification status column.

Enrich all emails in column A using Hunter's combined enrichment. Write first name to column B, last name to column C, job title to column D, current company to column E, LinkedIn to column F, and location to column G. Then verify each email and write the verification status to column H. Format the output so it matches the ATS import column order: email, first name, last name, title, company, LinkedIn, location, status.

Running enrichment and verification in one prompt means the output is import-ready, not a raw data dump you still need to clean before uploading.
