The Scenario
System audit is Monday. The operations director printed the compliance checklist. Line item 7: "Remove all discontinued items from Loyverse before audit review." An Excel file called 'Dead SKUs' has 50 discontinued variant IDs in column A — products that were pulled from the shelves two months ago but never removed from the POS.
It's Friday afternoon.
The bad version:
- Open Loyverse's product editor. Search for each variant by ID or by name. Navigate into the parent item, find the variant tab, click delete, confirm.
- 50 variants across multiple parent items. Each one is a multi-click sequence.
- Some variants share names with active variants at different price points. You need to make sure you're deleting the right one.
- By variant 30, you're not sure if variant 23 was successfully deleted or if you just navigated away from it. You check the list. It's still there. You deleted the wrong variant.
