The Scenario
The calibration crew is coming in next Wednesday. They need a list of every meter on the three production lines — measurement type, unit, the asset it is attached to, and the last reading — so they can verify configuration before they start. You have 45 meters in MaintainX spread across dozens of assets. You have never pulled this list into Excel before and you are not confident the MaintainX export will include all the fields they need.
The bad version:
- Export a CSV from MaintainX meters, open it in Excel, find it includes name and asset ID but not measurement type, unit, or last reading.
- Go back into MaintainX, open each of the 45 meter records individually to get measurement type and unit, and paste them into the workbook row by row.
- Realize around meter 30 that you have been entering the measurement type and the unit in the same column, and you have to go back and split them.
The calibration crew is billing by the hour. They cannot walk in without a verified reference list and improvise.
The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI
SheetXAI is an AI agent inside your Excel workbook. It reads the workbook, connects to MaintainX through its built-in integration, and pulls your full meter inventory in one shot.
Export the full MaintainX meter inventory into Excel — one row per meter showing ID, name, measurement type, unit, and the asset it is attached to
What You Get
- Column A: meter ID
- Column B: meter name
- Column C: measurement type (temperature, pressure, hours, etc.)
- Column D: unit of measurement
- Column E: associated asset name
- All 45 meters in one pull, ready for the calibration team to review before Wednesday
What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready
You also need the last reading for calibration verification
Export all MaintainX meters into columns A through F with meter ID, name, measurement type, unit, associated asset, and last recorded reading
Meters with no readings should be flagged before the crew arrives
Export all MaintainX meters into columns A through F with ID, name, measurement type, unit, associated asset, and last reading — write NO READING in column G for any meter where the last reading is blank
You only want meters attached to assets on one specific production line
Export all MaintainX meters attached to assets in the 'Line 3' location into columns A through E with ID, name, measurement type, unit, and associated asset name
Full calibration reference workbook in one shot: pull meters, flag no-reading, sort by asset, add notes column
Export all MaintainX meters into columns A through F with ID, name, measurement type, unit, associated asset, and last reading — flag NO READING in column G for any meter with a blank last reading — sort by associated asset name so meters on the same equipment group together — add a blank column H for the calibration team's verification notes
One prompt and the calibration team has a complete, pre-sorted reference workbook before they walk in the door.
Try It
Get the 7-day free trial of SheetXAI and open a blank Excel workbook. Ask it to export your full MaintainX meter inventory with measurement types, units, and last readings. Then check the spoke on exporting your asset registry if you need to cross-reference meters against the full equipment list.
