Export the MOCO Cashflow Report Into an Excel workbook for Financial Analysis

5 min read

The Scenario

It is the first week of July. The CFO needs a cashflow export from MOCO covering the first half of the year — every transaction, type, company, amount, and date — for the bank reconciliation. The accountant is waiting for the file.

The CFO uses MOCO twice a year for this task. Navigating to the right report, setting the date range, exporting in the right format, and reformatting the output for the accountant's template is not a quick task for someone who does it infrequently.

The bad version:

  • Log into MOCO, find the cashflow report, set the date range to January 1 through June 30, export as CSV.
  • Open in Excel — the columns are in a different order than the accountant's template.
  • Rearrange columns, reformat dates, remove the summary rows the export adds by default.

The file ends up correct. The process takes longer and involves more manual steps than it should for what is essentially a structured data dump.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent that lives inside your Excel workbook. It reads the workbook and uses its built-in MOCO integration to pull the cashflow report in the layout you specify.

Pull the MOCO cashflow report for January to June 2026 and write transaction date, type, company name, and amount into my Cashflow worksheet

What You Get

  • One row per MOCO cashflow transaction for the period.
  • Columns: transaction date (ISO format), transaction type, company name, and amount.
  • No summary rows or formatting artifacts from CSV export — raw transaction data, one row per entry.
  • The Cashflow worksheet reflects live MOCO data at the time of the pull.

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

I need VAT alongside the amount

Pull the MOCO cashflow report for January to June 2026 and write transaction date, type, company name, net amount, tax amount, and gross amount into my Cashflow worksheet

I need to split it by transaction type into separate sections

Pull the MOCO cashflow for H1 2026 and write to my Cashflow worksheet. Group rows by transaction type and add a subtotal row per group.

I need to reconcile against a bank statement already in the workbook

Pull the MOCO cashflow for 2026-01-01 to 2026-06-30 into columns A through D of my Cashflow worksheet. Match each MOCO transaction against rows in my Bank Statement worksheet (matched on date and amount). Write a Matched column showing Yes or No for each MOCO transaction.

Pull the full H1 cashflow, reconcile, flag gaps, and total by category in one shot

Pull MOCO cashflow for January through June 2026. Match each entry against my Bank Statement worksheet by date and amount. Flag unmatched entries. Add a Category column from transaction type. Show a subtotal per category. Write everything to the Cashflow worksheet.

The accountant has the file before end of day. The CFO sent one prompt.
