Run Multi-Country Google Searches From a Google Sheet via Piloterr

The Scenario

An international SEO manager at a B2B SaaS company is building a cross-market keyword analysis in Excel. The company targets English-speaking markets in the US and UK, and they want to know whether the same 8 high-value keywords rank different content in each locale. The workbook has the keywords in column A, and columns B and C are labeled "EN-US" and "EN-GB" — empty.

The analyst opened a browser, switched Google's interface to a US locale, searched keyword 1, copied the top URL into B2, switched to the UK locale, and searched again. By keyword 3 they'd noticed the browser was caching the previous locale setting, which meant the results for EN-GB in rows 2 and 3 were actually EN-US results. The whole first pass was invalid.

The bad version:

  • Change Google's country setting carefully for each locale, search keyword 1, copy the top URL, paste it into the correct column
  • Repeat for each of the two locales, advance to the next keyword, tracking locale state manually throughout
  • Discover after keyword 4 that the locale state leaked again and two rows need to be redone

Eight keywords, two locales, sixteen search results to track — with locale leakage that invalidates your work silently.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent that lives inside your Excel workbook. It reads your keyword list and your locale structure, and through its built-in Piloterr integration it can run localized Google searches for each keyword-locale combination and write the top URL for each into the correct column — without you managing locale state at all.

Read 8 keywords from the Excel sheet 'GlobalKeywords' and for each fetch the top Google result from Piloterr for both EN-US and EN-GB locales, writing each result URL into adjacent columns

What You Get

  • Column B: top organic Google result URL for EN-US for each keyword
  • Column C: top organic Google result URL for EN-GB for each keyword
  • Rows where the same URL appears in both columns get flagged in column D — useful for spotting where a single piece of content dominates both markets
  • Rows where Piloterr returns no organic result for a given locale get a note so you know the data gap exists

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

You also want the page titles, not just the URLs

For each keyword in the 'GlobalKeywords' worksheet column A (8 rows), run Piloterr Google searches for EN-US and EN-GB — write the top organic URL into columns B and D respectively, and the corresponding page title into columns C and E

Some keywords are branded and may not return meaningful results in the UK index — you want those flagged

For each keyword in the 'GlobalKeywords' worksheet column A, run Piloterr Google searches for EN-US and EN-GB — for any locale where the top result URL is from a domain with no locale signal, flag it with "check locale" in the adjacent column instead of just writing the URL

You want to expand to three more European locales on top of the EN results

For each keyword in the 'GlobalKeywords' worksheet column A (8 rows), run Piloterr Google searches for EN-US, EN-GB, FR, DE, and ES — write the top URL for each into columns B, C, D, E, and F respectively

You need the full multi-locale table, same-URL flags, and a domain-frequency summary in one pass

Read the 'GlobalKeywords' worksheet column A (8 keywords), run Piloterr Google searches for EN-US and EN-GB for each, write the top URL per locale into columns B and C — flag rows where both URLs share the same domain in column D, then add a summary at the bottom showing which domains appear most frequently across all 16 results

The international ranking workbook lands complete, with cross-market signals built in.
