Pull Goal Conversion Data From Plausible Into an Excel workbook

The Scenario

The growth team's monthly review is tomorrow and someone just asked a reasonable question: which of the Plausible goals are actually converting, and which ones haven't moved in weeks?

You have goals configured in Plausible — demo request, free trial signup, contact form submission, pricing page visit. You've never looked at all of them together in one place. The dashboard shows them one at a time. What you need is a single table in Excel: goal name, completions in the last 30 days, conversion rate — so the team can decide which funnel steps to prioritize.

The bad version:

  • Click through each goal in the Plausible UI one by one to note the completion count and conversion rate — eight goals means eight page loads and eight manual copy-pastes into a spreadsheet.
  • Build the table in Excel by hand, type the goal names, enter the numbers, realize the conversion rates are formatted differently in different parts of the UI (some as percentages, some as decimals).
  • Go back and verify two goals that seem low — and discover one was renamed in Plausible last week, so your Excel table has a row with the old name that no longer matches anything.

The review starts at 9 AM. It's currently 8:45.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent that lives inside your Excel workbook. It can list all goals configured for your Plausible site, query their completion and conversion data, and write the results directly into a worksheet — in one step.

Open the Goals worksheet and run this prompt:

Pull all Plausible goals for site [DOMAIN] and their 30-day conversion data into this Excel sheet — write goal name (A), completions (B), and conversion rate (C) — highlight any goal with a conversion rate below 1% in red

What You Get

  • Column A: goal name exactly as configured in Plausible
  • Column B: total completions over the last 30 days
  • Column C: conversion rate as a decimal
  • Any goal with conversion rate below 0.01 is highlighted red automatically
  • One row per goal, all goals included

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

You want to compare this month's conversion rates to last month's

List all Plausible goals and query completions and conversion rate for the past 30 days — write goal name (A), this month completions (B), this month conversion rate (C) — then in column D VLOOKUP against the Last Month worksheet to pull last month's conversion rate for the same goal, and in column E calculate the change

You want to join goal data to your ad spend per campaign

List all Plausible goals, query 30-day completions and conversion rate — write goal name (A), completions (B), conversion rate (C) — then in column D VLOOKUP against the Campaign Spend worksheet where goal name maps to campaign label, and in column E calculate cost per conversion as spend divided by completions

You want to flag goals that improved and goals that declined this month

List all Plausible goals, query 30-day completions and conversion rate — write goal (A), completions (B), conversion rate (C) — VLOOKUP last month's conversion rate from Last Month worksheet into column D — in column E write Improved if this month is higher, Declined if lower, and Stable if within 5%

Pull all goal data, flag underperformers, join spend, and write an executive summary in one shot

List all Plausible goals for my site, query 30-day completions and conversion rate — write goal (A), completions (B), conversion rate (C) — highlight goals below 1% conversion in red — VLOOKUP spend from Campaign Budget worksheet into column D — calculate cost per conversion in column E — then write in cell G1: total goals tracked, number below threshold, and the highest-converting goal with its rate

The whole table, annotated and cost-calculated, before the 9 AM meeting.
