The Scenario
You are a customer success ops manager. Your team just closed thirty new enterprise accounts in Q2. Before your PS team can create onboarding projects in Rocketlane, each account needs to exist as a company in Rocketlane's company directory.
Your data is in an Excel workbook — the SFDC Export tab. Column A is company name, B is website domain.
The slow version:
- Open Rocketlane, navigate to Companies
- Click "Add Company," type the name, paste the website
- Save. Click "Add Company" again
- Repeat for row three
- Thirty new companies. Two hours. The onboarding kickoffs are tomorrow.
The fast version is one prompt.
The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI
SheetXAI reads your account workbook and creates every company in Rocketlane's directory in one pass.
Open the SheetXAI sidebar and type:
Read the 30 rows in the SFDC Export tab and create a Rocketlane company for each one using the company name in column A and domain in column B — log the Rocketlane company ID in column E.
SheetXAI reads all thirty rows from the SFDC Export tab, creates each company in Rocketlane, and writes the new company ID back to column E. Thirty live Rocketlane company records, one prompt.
What You Get
Thirty Rocketlane company records, created in one prompt:
- Company name — from column A of the SFDC Export tab
- Website domain — from column B
- Company ID — logged to column E for each row
Column E is the handoff. Once the company IDs are in the workbook, the next prompt creates the onboarding projects using those IDs.
What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready
CRM exports are messy.
When some companies already exist in Rocketlane
A handful of the thirty accounts are existing customers re-upsold. Creating duplicates breaks reporting.
For each row in the SFDC Export tab, search Rocketlane for an existing company with the name in column A or domain in column B. If a match is found, write the existing company ID to column E and "EXISTING" to column F. If no match, create the company and write the new ID to column E and "CREATED" to column F.
When company names have formatting issues from the CRM export
Some names have trailing whitespace or inconsistent capitalization.
Normalize the company names in column A of the SFDC Export tab — trim whitespace and fix to title case. Then create a Rocketlane company for each row using the normalized name and domain from column B. Write the company ID to column E.
When some accounts are missing a domain
Eight rows have no website domain. You want to create the company anyway but flag those rows.
Create a Rocketlane company for each row in the SFDC Export tab using the name in column A. If column B is blank, create the company without a domain and write "NO DOMAIN" in column F. Write the company ID to column E for all rows.
When the data is still in Salesforce and you want to skip the export step
Pull all accounts marked "New Customer" from Salesforce created in Q2 2026. Write company name and domain into the SFDC Export tab. Then create a Rocketlane company for each row and write the company ID to column E.
