Create a Stannp Campaign and Write the Cost Estimate Into a Google Sheet

The Scenario

You manage marketing for a retail brand. Five thousand postcards are ready to go. The recipient group is built, the template is approved. The send is gated on a budget approval meeting tomorrow at 9 AM. Your finance lead needs the cost estimate in the campaign tracking workbook before she signs off — specifically, she wants the per-unit price and total in the cells next to the campaign reference row she has already set up.

The Stannp account has the group ID and template ID. The Excel workbook has the budget approval layout. What is missing is someone creating the campaign in Stannp and pulling the estimate into the right cells before the meeting.

The bad version:

  • Log into Stannp, navigate to campaign creation, enter the group ID, select the template, wait for the campaign to initialize, find the cost estimate in the summary panel.
  • Note the per-unit price and total on a notepad, switch to Excel, find the budget approval row, type the numbers in.
  • Realize you forgot to copy the campaign ID — switch back to Stannp, find the campaign, copy the ID, switch back to Excel, add it to a different cell.
  • Send the workbook to your finance lead. She replies asking where the campaign ID is. You already put it in — it is just in a different cell than she expected.

Three context switches and two manual copy operations for a task that could have written itself.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent inside your Excel workbook. It creates the Stannp campaign, fetches the cost estimate, and writes the figures into your budget cells in one operation.

Set up a new Stannp direct mail campaign for my recipient group — group ID in cell B1, template ID in cell B2 — and get the cost estimate. Put the campaign ID, total recipients, and estimated spend into cells B3, B4, and B5 of this Excel sheet.

What You Get

  • Cell B3: the new campaign ID for reference in the approval workflow.
  • Cell B4: total recipient count for the campaign.
  • Cell B5: estimated total spend based on Stannp's pricing.
  • The campaign exists in Stannp in draft state — ready to submit once your finance lead confirms the numbers.

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

Group ID and template ID in different worksheets

Pull the group ID from cell A1 of the Recipients worksheet and the template ID from cell A1 of the Templates worksheet, create a Stannp campaign using those values, and write the campaign ID, recipient count, and estimated cost into cells B3, B4, and B5 of the Budget worksheet.

Multiple regional campaigns needed from a single workbook

For each row in the Campaigns worksheet — group ID in column A, template ID in column B, region label in column C — create a Stannp campaign and write the campaign ID, recipient count, and estimated cost into columns D, E, and F of the same row.

Cost estimate needs to appear as both total and per-1000 rate

Create a Stannp campaign using group ID from B1 and template ID from B2, fetch the estimated cost, and write the campaign ID into B3, total cost into B4, and cost per 1,000 mailpieces into B5. Calculate the per-1000 figure by dividing total cost by recipient count times 1000.

Full pre-approval package — campaign creation, cost, and ROI projection in one pass

Create a Stannp campaign using group ID from B1 and template ID from B2, fetch the estimated cost, write the campaign ID into B3, total cost into B4, and per-unit cost into B5. Then apply the expected response rate in cell B6 to calculate the estimated number of respondents and write it into B7.

Building the full approval package in one prompt means your finance lead opens the workbook and has every figure she needs without a follow-up question.
