Export Incomplete Teamcamp Tasks to a Excel workbook

5 min read

The Scenario

Leadership review is in three hours. Your delivery manager needs a single worksheet showing every open task across six active Teamcamp projects — task name, priority, due date, and assignee — so she can walk into the room with an actual picture of where things stand. Right now that data lives scattered across Teamcamp project boards.

The bad version:

  • Open the first Teamcamp project, filter for incomplete tasks, export or manually copy the list.
  • Repeat for five more projects. Each one has a slightly different column layout in its export.
  • Spend 45 minutes assembling six CSV files into one coherent worksheet, reconciling headers, and fixing the date format Teamcamp uses versus what Excel reads natively.

Nobody hired her to be a data janitor before leadership reviews. The report is supposed to show what the team is doing — not consume the three hours she needed to actually check in with the team first.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent that lives inside your Excel workbook. It reads your list of project IDs, pulls the open tasks from each, and writes them to the worksheet in the shape you specify.

Fetch all incomplete tasks from each project ID listed in column A of the 'Active Projects' sheet and write the results to the 'Task Export' sheet with columns: Project Name, Task Name, Priority, Due Date.

SheetXAI reads each project ID in column A, queries Teamcamp for incomplete tasks on each project, and writes every result into the Task Export sheet — one task per row, labeled with the project it came from.

What You Get

  • A consolidated task list across all six projects in one worksheet.
  • Columns: Project Name, Task Name, Priority, Due Date — matching the layout you specified.
  • Results written to the Task Export worksheet without touching any existing data in other sheets.
  • Any project ID that returns no incomplete tasks simply adds no rows — no error, no blank row noise.

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

You only want high-priority tasks

Fetch all incomplete tasks from each project ID in column A of the 'Active Projects' sheet. Only include tasks where priority is High. Write results to the 'Task Export' sheet with columns: Project Name, Task Name, Priority, Due Date.

Tasks are missing due dates and you want those flagged

Fetch all incomplete tasks from each project ID in column A of the 'Active Projects' sheet. Write results to the 'Task Export' sheet. Add a column F labeled "Missing Due Date" and mark it Yes for any task where Due Date is blank.

You want to join against a second worksheet to show account owner

Fetch all incomplete tasks from each project ID in column A of the 'Active Projects' sheet. For each project name, look up the Account Owner in the 'Projects' sheet using column A as the key and column C as the owner value. Write results to 'Task Export' with columns: Project Name, Account Owner, Task Name, Priority, Due Date.

Full pre-meeting pull in one shot

Fetch all incomplete tasks from every project ID in column A of the 'Active Projects' sheet. Only include tasks with a due date within the next 14 days. Look up each project's Account Owner from the 'Projects' sheet. Write a sorted summary to the 'Task Export' sheet, sorted by due date ascending, with columns: Project Name, Account Owner, Task Name, Priority, Due Date. Flag any task missing a due date in column F.

Combining the filter, lookup, and export into one ask means the workbook is ready before you've finished your coffee.
