Export Recently Published Typefully Posts to a Excel workbook

The Scenario

You've been publishing content on Twitter/X through Typefully for four months. Your head of marketing asks, in a Monday morning Slack message, whether you can share a breakdown of everything that's gone out — topics covered, publishing frequency by week, any obvious gaps.

You don't have that in a workbook. You've never needed it in a workbook before.

The bad version:

  • You open Typefully and start scrolling back through published drafts. The UI isn't designed for bulk data review — you're clicking into individual posts to see timestamps.
  • You open a blank Excel workbook and start manually copying post content and dates into rows. By post 20 you've lost track of whether the dates you're entering are publish dates or draft creation dates.
  • You finish with something like 40 rows, hand-counted, with no reliable way to sort or verify that you got everything.

Your head of marketing wants this before the end of day. What you've built isn't really auditable, and you know it.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent that lives inside your Excel workbook. It reads your workbook and through its built-in Typefully integration it can pull your published content history directly into a worksheet — with accurate timestamps, no manual scrolling.

With the workbook open and SheetXAI in the sidebar, give it a prompt like this:

Fetch all recently published drafts from Typefully and write the post content into column A and the publish date into column B of the "Published Log" worksheet, sorted by publish date descending with the most recent post first.

What You Get

  • Post content written into column A, one row per published draft.
  • Publish dates in column B in a consistent format, sorted newest first.
  • Enough rows to cover your recent publishing history — ask for a specific count or date range if you need to scope it.
  • A workbook you can actually sort, filter, and share — not a manually assembled list with questionable timestamps.

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

You need to filter by a specific date range

You only want posts from the last 30 days, not the full history:

Fetch all Typefully drafts published in the last 30 days and write post content into column A and publish date into column B of the "Published Log" worksheet, sorted by date ascending.

You want to count posts by week to check cadence

Rather than exporting and then manually grouping, ask SheetXAI to do the aggregation inline:

Fetch all Typefully drafts published this month, write each post into column A with its publish date in column B, then in the "Cadence" worksheet create a summary table showing how many posts were published each week.

Your workbook already has some old data and you don't want duplicates

You pulled a partial export two weeks ago and the "Published Log" worksheet already has 20 rows. You don't want to overwrite or duplicate them:

Fetch all Typefully drafts published since [date in column B of the last row in "Published Log"], and append new rows below the existing data in columns A and B, sorted by publish date ascending.

The kill chain: fetch, enrich, analyze, and flag gaps

You need the full picture — not just what was published, but where the gaps are:

Fetch all Typefully drafts published in the last 60 days, write post content into column A and publish date into column B of the "Published Log" worksheet. Then in column C, tag each post with the day of week it was published. Finally, in the "Gap Analysis" worksheet, list any calendar weeks in the period that had fewer than 3 posts published.

Pull, enrich, and analyze — in one prompt, without switching tools between steps.
