Upload a Domain Exclusion List to Findymail From a Google Sheet

The Scenario

The sales ops manager who built the Findymail exclusion list left the company in February. The list she maintained existed as a spreadsheet — 90 customer and partner domains that should never show up in Intellimatch searches. Nobody uploaded it to Findymail after she set it up in the old process. You found the sheet in a shared drive folder labeled "Ops Handoffs – Feb 2026."

The next Intellimatch run is Friday. If those 90 domains aren't blocked in Findymail before then, you'll burn credits on contacts from accounts you already own or have NDAs with.

The bad version:

  • Open Findymail's exclusion list settings in the browser
  • Paste the first domain from the sheet, click add, wait for confirmation, paste the next
  • 90 domains. One at a time. In a browser UI that times out after inactivity.

That's thirty minutes of clicking if nothing goes wrong. And at least two domains you accidentally mistyped because you stopped paying close attention around domain 60.

This list exists. It's already clean. It just needs to get from the sheet into Findymail — and there's no good reason that should take a human half an hour.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent that lives inside your Google Sheet. It reads the domain list, calls Findymail's API to create an exclusion list and populate it, and reports back — without you touching the Findymail UI once.

Create a new Findymail exclusion list called 'Do Not Prospect' and add every domain from column A of this sheet to it

SheetXAI reads every domain in column A, creates the named exclusion list in Findymail, and adds each domain in a single operation. No clicking, no copy-pasting, no risk of mistyping entry 67.

What You Get

  • A new Findymail exclusion list named exactly what you specified, with every domain from column A added
  • Confirmation written back into the sheet or displayed in the SheetXAI sidebar — how many were added, whether any were skipped
  • The entire upload done in one run — no UI, no one-at-a-time entry, no browser session timeouts

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

The domains have inconsistent formatting — some have "www." prefixes, some have trailing slashes

Clean the domains in column A by removing any "www." prefix and any trailing slashes, then create a new Findymail exclusion list called 'Do Not Prospect' and add all cleaned domains to it

SheetXAI normalizes the domains before sending them to Findymail — the exclusion list ends up with clean, consistent entries.

You want to add the domains to an existing exclusion list rather than creating a new one

Read all domains in column A and add each one to my existing Findymail exclusion list so they are filtered out of future Intellimatch searches

SheetXAI appends to the existing list rather than creating a duplicate — no risk of ending up with two conflicting exclusion lists.

The domains are spread across two columns — company name in column A, domain in column B

Use the domains in column B of this sheet — ignoring column A which is company name — and add each domain to a new Findymail exclusion list called 'Partners and Customers Q2 2026'

SheetXAI reads the correct column and skips the label column, so the exclusion list contains only the domain strings Findymail expects.

You want to validate the domains, upload them, and log results in one pass

Check every domain in column A for valid format, skip any that don't look like real domains, add the valid ones to a new Findymail exclusion list called 'Do Not Prospect', write 'Added' in column B next to each one that was successfully uploaded, and write 'Skipped' next to any that were filtered out

One instruction handles the validation, the upload, and the audit trail. The sheet becomes its own record of what made it into Findymail.

Combining the cleanup and the upload in a single prompt means you don't have to trust that a separate manual step ran correctly before the Friday Intellimatch search goes out.
