The Scenario
Sales kick-off is next week. Your sales manager handed you an Excel file — 120 target accounts with company name, industry, employee range, and website — and asked you to get all of them into Folk as company records so the team can start working the list during the event. You have Folk open. You have the sheet open. You're looking at 120 rows and thinking about what entering them one at a time would actually feel like.
The bad version:
- Click "New Company" in Folk, type the name from row 2, pick the industry from a dropdown that doesn't quite match your spreadsheet's categories, enter the website, save. Move to row 3.
- Get to row 15 and realize you've been entering employee range into the wrong field for the last five records — Folk has a specific field for headcount that you missed.
- Go back and fix those records manually, lose your place in the sheet, and decide to just finish the rest tomorrow — except tomorrow is Thursday and kick-off is Friday.
The team needs those accounts in Folk before the event. Running out of time is not a situation that resolves itself.
The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI
SheetXAI is an AI agent inside your Google Sheet. It reads the sheet and uses Folk's API directly through its built-in integration. You tell it what to do and it handles the rest.
Create a Folk company record for every row in my "Target Accounts" sheet using column A for company name, column B for industry, column C for employee range, and column D for website — skip any row where column A is blank
What You Get
- A Folk company record created for every populated row.
- Employee range and industry written to the correct Folk fields — not guessed.
- Rows with blank company names skipped cleanly with a count.
- A sidebar summary showing how many records were created and how many were bypassed.
What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready
Your industry values don't match Folk's accepted categories
Your sheet has "SaaS" but Folk expects "Software." Some mappings are obvious, some aren't.
Before creating Folk company records from my "Target Accounts" sheet, map the industry values in column B to Folk's standard categories — show me the proposed mapping first so I can confirm before anything gets written
You have duplicate company names from two list sources
Two team members contributed to the sheet and there's overlap.
In my "Target Accounts" sheet, deduplicate rows by column A keeping the first occurrence of each company name, then create a Folk company record for every remaining row using columns A through D
The website column has inconsistent formatting
Some rows have https://, some have www., some have just the domain. Folk expects a clean URL.
Normalize column D in my "Target Accounts" sheet so every website begins with
https://and has no trailing slash, then create a Folk company record for every row using columns A through D — skip rows where column A is blank
The full prep and import in one shot
In my "Target Accounts" sheet: deduplicate by column A keeping the first row per company name, normalize column D so every URL starts with
https://, map industry values in column B to Folk's standard categories where they differ, then create a Folk company record for every remaining row — skip rows with a blank company name and give me a count of records created and skipped
One pass. The accounts are in Folk and the team can start working them at kick-off.
