Export Lever Users Into a Google Sheet for an Access Audit

The Scenario

An IT audit is coming up next week. The auditor wants a complete list of every person who has access to Lever — name, email, and permission level — compared against the current HR system to flag anyone who left the company but still has an active account. You have 75 Lever users and no automated way to pull them.

The bad version:

  • Log into Lever as an admin, navigate to the users section, scroll through all 75 users
  • Export whatever Lever gives you, find that the CSV has more columns than you need and fewer columns formatted the way the auditor asked
  • Copy the relevant fields into the audit template, realize deactivated users are in a separate view, and repeat the export for that section too

The auditor has a Tuesday deadline. Your IT team has three other audits running simultaneously.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent that lives inside your Google Sheet. It pulls every Lever user — active and deactivated — into the columns your audit template requires, in one pass.

Open your access audit sheet and type:

List all active users in Lever and write each person's name, email, and access role into columns A through C of this sheet — one row per user

What You Get

  • Column A: user's full name
  • Column B: user's email address
  • Column C: access role as it appears in Lever
  • One row per active user
  • No duplicates

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

The audit requires both active and deactivated users

Export all Lever users including deactivated ones into this sheet with name, email, role, and deactivation date into columns A through D — flag rows in Column E with 'Deactivated' where the user has a deactivation date

You need to cross-reference against your HR system

List all active Lever users and write name and email into columns A and B. Then look up each email against Column A of the HR System tab — write 'Match' in Column C if found, 'Not in HR system' if not found

The audit requires a count by role type

List all Lever users and write name, email, and role into columns A through C. Then starting in column E, write a summary of how many users have each role — role name in Column E, count in Column F

Full user export, cross-reference, deactivation flags, and role summary in one prompt

Export all Lever users including deactivated ones — name, email, role, and deactivation date in columns A through D. Flag Column E as 'Active' or 'Deactivated'. Then look up each email against the HR System tab Column A and write 'In HR' or 'Missing from HR' in Column F. Finally, write a role summary starting in column H

One prompt delivers the complete audit package.
