Search Monday.com Items by Column Value Into a Google Sheet

The Scenario

The sales team's weekly pipeline review is in 45 minutes. Your sales manager sent a message 20 minutes ago: pull all deals where Status is 'Proposal Sent' and Owner is 'Alice Chen' into a Sheet so the team can discuss them in the meeting. The board has 400 items. Scrolling and filtering in the monday.com UI, then copying the results into a Sheet, is a manual process with no clean path.

The bad version:

  • Open monday.com, go to the Sales Pipeline board, apply a filter for Status = 'Proposal Sent'.
  • Add a second filter for Owner = 'Alice Chen'.
  • Look at the 23 matching items — there's no built-in "export these results to Sheets."
  • Screenshot the filtered view, paste it into the Sheet as an image — which helps no one.
  • Manually type the item names, deal values, and next steps from each item into the Sheet.

Twenty-three items copied by hand, 45 minutes before a meeting you're already prepping for.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent that lives inside your Google Sheet. It reads your query, talks to monday.com through its built-in integration, and writes the matching items directly into the Sheet.

Search monday.com board 'Sales Pipeline' for items where Status is 'Proposal Sent' and Owner is 'Alice Chen' and list the results in the 'Pipeline Review' sheet

What You Get

  • All matching items written as rows in 'Pipeline Review.'
  • Columns for item name, group, status, owner, and any other columns on the board you specify.
  • Row count written at the bottom so the team knows how many deals are in scope.
  • Results sorted by item name alphabetically by default.

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

You need results from two different boards combined

Search monday.com boards 'Sales Pipeline' and 'Enterprise Deals' for items where Status is 'Proposal Sent' and Owner is 'Alice Chen'. Combine the results in 'Pipeline Review' with a 'Board' column indicating the source of each row

You want to filter by a date range in addition to status and owner

Search monday.com board 'Sales Pipeline' for items where Status is 'Proposal Sent', Owner is 'Alice Chen', and Close Date falls within the next 30 days. Write item name, close date, deal value, and next steps to 'Pipeline Review'

The results need to be ranked by deal value descending

Search monday.com board 'Sales Pipeline' for items where Status is 'Proposal Sent' and Owner is 'Alice Chen'. Write results to 'Pipeline Review' and sort by the 'Deal Value' column descending

Kill chain: search, enrich with a second column, rank, and format the Sheet in one prompt

Search monday.com board 'Sales Pipeline' for items where Status is 'Proposal Sent' and Owner is 'Alice Chen'. Write to 'Pipeline Review' with columns: item name, deal value, close date, last update, owner. Sort by deal value descending. Bold the header row and freeze it. Write a total deal value sum in the cell below the last row.

One prompt delivers a presentation-ready Sheet in time for the meeting.
