The Scenario
You are a growth analyst. The board deck is due Friday at 3 PM and the head of marketing just asked for a slide covering Q1 email performance. That means 47 Single Send campaigns from Q1 2026, each needing delivered count, open rate, click rate, bounce rate, and unsubscribe rate, in a Google Sheet, formatted for a chart.
The SendGrid dashboard will show you one campaign at a time. There is no "export all Q1 campaigns" button.
The slow version:
- Open SendGrid's campaign stats page
- Click into campaign 1, note the numbers
- Switch to Sheets, type them in
- Repeat 46 more times
- Realize campaign 14 does not match what you typed for campaign 3 because the date filter was off
- Spend four hours on data entry for a single slide.
The fast version is one prompt.
The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI
SheetXAI is an AI agent inside your spreadsheet that calls the SendGrid API and writes the campaign stats directly into the sheet, so you never have to click through the dashboard.
Open the SheetXAI sidebar and type:
Pull stats for all my SendGrid Single Sends from Q1 2026 (January 1 through March 31) and write each campaign's name, delivered count, open rate, click rate, bounce rate, and unsubscribe rate into this sheet starting at row 2, with headers in row 1. Sort by open rate descending.
SheetXAI calls the SendGrid Stats API, paginates through all 47 campaigns, and writes the full table. The sheet is ready before you finish your coffee.
What You Get
A clean stats table with one row per campaign:
- Campaign name — exactly as it appears in SendGrid
- Delivered count — total emails that reached inboxes
- Open rate — expressed as a percentage, ready to chart
- Click rate — same format
- Bounce rate — flags deliverability problems
- Unsubscribe rate — flags content or targeting problems
Sorted by open rate descending, so the top performers are at the top and the board slide is already organized.
You can drop this table directly into a chart in Google Sheets and paste it into the deck. The whole flow, from asking to formatted chart, takes under five minutes.
What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready
Real campaign stats often need more than a raw export.
When you want to compare Q1 to Q4 of the prior year
The board wants a trend, not just a snapshot.
Pull stats for all my SendGrid Single Sends from Q1 2026 and Q4 2025. Write them into two separate tabs — Q1 and Q4 — with the same column structure: campaign name, delivered, open rate, click rate, bounce rate, unsubscribe rate. Then on a third tab called Summary, calculate the average open rate and average click rate for each quarter and note which quarter performed better.
When campaign names include internal codes that should be stripped
Your naming convention is "Q1-2026-ONBRD-Welcome Series" and you want the board to see "Welcome Series."
Pull Q1 2026 Single Send stats. Strip the prefix format 'Q1-2026-XXXXX-' from each campaign name so only the readable label remains. Write the cleaned names and stats into this sheet.
When you only want campaigns above a certain delivered count
Small test sends should not skew the average.
Pull Q1 2026 Single Send stats. Exclude any campaigns with a delivered count below 1,000 (those are test sends). Write the remaining campaigns sorted by open rate descending.
When you need the full picture: stats plus click-level breakdown plus a summary
The board wants to see which links inside the top campaign drove the most clicks.
Pull Q1 2026 Single Send stats and write them to the Stats tab sorted by open rate. Then for the top 3 campaigns by open rate, pull the click-tracking breakdown (link URL, total clicks, unique clicks) and write each campaign's click data to its own tab named after the campaign. On a Summary tab, write one paragraph interpreting the Q1 performance trend based on the numbers.
The pattern: start with the campaign list, then drill into the detail, then synthesize — all in one prompt.
Try It
Get the 7-day free trial of SheetXAI and open a blank sheet, then ask it to pull your SendGrid campaign stats for any date range. The SendGrid integration is included in every SheetXAI plan.
