Export sevdesk Bank Transactions Into a Google Sheet

5 min read

The Scenario

It's the first week of April and your client's auditor has asked for the complete Q1 transaction ledger. The request came in at 4 PM. You need every transaction from the sevdesk check account — date, payee, amount, status — in a Google Sheet by end of day so you can compare it row by row against the bank statement and flag anything that doesn't line up.

The bad version:

  • Log into sevdesk, navigate to check accounts, set the date filter to Q1, and start scrolling through the transaction list.
  • The list is paginated. You export what you can, realize the export is a PDF, and begin transcribing the values manually into the sheet.
  • After 90 minutes you have 60 of the roughly 180 transactions in the sheet. The auditor's deadline is tomorrow morning. You stay late.

Auditors do not care about the process you used to pull the ledger. They care whether the numbers match. What drains your time is everything that happens before you can start comparing.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent inside Google Sheets that reads the sheet and pulls directly from sevdesk. Ask it for the transaction data in the shape you need.

Export all sevdesk check account transactions between 2026-01-01 and 2026-03-31 and paste them into my Q1 Reconciliation sheet with date, payee, amount, and status columns

What You Get

  • All transactions from the specified sevdesk check account written into the sheet, one row per transaction.
  • Columns: date, payee, amount, status — in the order you specified.
  • No pagination issues, no PDF intermediary, no manual transcription.
  • The data reflects what sevdesk holds for that period at the moment you ran the prompt.

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

You need transactions from a specific named account, not the default one

Fetch all transactions from the sevdesk account named 'Business Current' between 2026-01-01 and 2026-03-31 and write them into my Q1 Reconciliation sheet with date, payee, amount, and status columns

You want large transactions flagged immediately for review

Export all sevdesk check account transactions for Q1 2026 into my Reconciliation sheet with date, payee, amount, and status — then highlight any row where the absolute value of the amount exceeds 5000 in red

You need to compare the pulled transactions against the bank statement already in the sheet

Fetch all sevdesk check account transactions between 2026-01-01 and 2026-03-31 and write them into column E onward of my Q1 Reconciliation sheet (date in E, payee in F, amount in G) — then in column H write MATCH if the amount in column G matches column C within 0.01, otherwise write MISMATCH and the difference

Full quarter close: pull, flag large items, mark unmatched, summarize

Export all sevdesk check account transactions for Q1 2026 and paste into my Q1 Reconciliation sheet with date, payee, amount, and status — highlight rows over 5000 in yellow, add a column E marking UNMATCHED where status is not 'cleared', and write the net total of all amounts into cell D1

One prompt handles the pull, the formatting, the flagging, and the summary. You end up with a sheet that's already annotated for the auditor, not a raw dump that still needs work.
