Create a Stannp Campaign and Write the Cost Estimate Into a Google Sheet

The Scenario

You manage marketing for a retail brand. The campaign is set — recipient group built, template approved, 5,000 postcards ready to go. The only thing standing between you and the send button is a budget approval meeting tomorrow morning, and your finance lead needs the cost estimate in the campaign tracking sheet before she signs off.

The Stannp account has the group ID and template ID. Your Google Sheet has a budget approval layout waiting for the numbers. What is missing is the few minutes it takes to create the campaign in Stannp, pull the estimate, and get the figures into the right cells before the 9 AM meeting.

The bad version:

  • Log into Stannp, navigate to campaign creation, enter the group ID, select the template, wait for the preview to load, find the cost estimate buried in the campaign summary panel.
  • Write down the per-unit price and total on a sticky note, switch to the Google Sheet, find the budget approval row, type the numbers in manually.
  • Realize you forgot to note the campaign ID — go back to Stannp, find the newly created campaign, copy the ID, switch back to the sheet, add it to a different cell.
  • Your finance lead asks where the screenshot is. Start over.

Four context switches, two manual copy operations, and one sticky note for data that could have been written directly into the sheet without any of that.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent inside your Google Sheet. It creates the Stannp campaign, fetches the cost estimate, and writes the figures into your budget cells in one operation.

Create a Stannp campaign using the group ID in cell B1 and template ID in cell B2, then fetch the estimated cost and write the per-unit price and total cost into cells B3 and B4. Write the new campaign ID into cell B5.

What You Get

  • Cell B3: per-unit postcard cost from Stannp's estimate.
  • Cell B4: total campaign cost based on recipient count.
  • Cell B5: the Stannp campaign ID for reference in the approval workflow.
  • The campaign exists in Stannp in draft state — ready to submit once your finance lead signs off.

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

Group ID and template ID in different tabs

Pull the group ID from cell A1 of the Recipients tab and the template ID from cell A1 of the Templates tab, create a Stannp campaign using those values, and write the per-unit cost, total cost, and campaign ID into cells B3, B4, and B5 of the Budget tab.

Multiple campaigns needed for different regions

For each row in the Campaigns tab — group ID in column A, template ID in column B, region label in column C — create a Stannp campaign and write the campaign ID, per-unit cost, and total cost into columns D, E, and F of the same row.

Cost needs to be converted to a specific currency for the budget doc

Create a Stannp campaign using group ID from cell B1 and template ID from cell B2, fetch the estimated cost in GBP, convert it to USD at today's exchange rate, and write the per-unit price in USD and total in USD into cells B3 and B4. Write the campaign ID into B5.

Full budget approval package in one pass

Create a Stannp campaign using group ID from B1 and template ID from B2, fetch the estimated cost, write the campaign ID into B5, per-unit cost into B3, total cost into B4, and also write a formula in B6 that calculates the cost per acquired customer if the expected response rate in cell B7 is applied.

Building the full budget view in one prompt means your finance lead opens the sheet and sees every number she needs without a follow-up Slack thread.
