Create Client Onboarding Projects in Teamcamp With Pre-loaded Tasks From a Google Sheet

The Scenario

You're an account manager. Six new clients signed contracts this week. For each one, someone needs to create a Teamcamp project and load in the standard onboarding task list — eight tasks that every new client goes through: Kickoff Call, Contract Signed, Data Intake, System Setup, User Training, UAT, Go-Live, Handoff. You have a Google Sheet with the six client names and contract start dates. The first kickoff is Friday.

The bad version:

  • Create project for client 1 in Teamcamp. Navigate into the project. Click "Add Task." Type "Kickoff Call." Save. Click "Add Task" again. Type "Contract Signed." Save. Repeat for six more tasks. Then do the whole thing for client 2.
  • Six clients, eight tasks each: 48 separate task creation clicks after the 6 project creation clicks.
  • Client 3 gets seven tasks because you accidentally clicked away before finishing the list.

You are the account manager. You are supposed to be preparing for Friday's kickoff, not building project scaffolding by hand.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent that lives inside your Google Sheet. It reads your client list and builds each Teamcamp project with its full task list in one operation.

For each row in the 'New Clients' sheet — Client Name, Start Date, Account Manager — create a Teamcamp project and then add these 8 tasks to it: 'Kickoff Call', 'Contract Signed', 'Data Intake', 'System Setup', 'User Training', 'UAT', 'Go-Live', 'Handoff'.

SheetXAI creates each project in Teamcamp and then creates all eight tasks inside it, linking them to the correct project. Project IDs and the count of tasks created are written back to columns D and E.

What You Get

  • Six Teamcamp projects created, one per client row.
  • All eight standard onboarding tasks created inside each project.
  • Project IDs written to column D, task counts confirmed in column E.
  • Any project that fails to create is flagged in column F — the task creation for that row is skipped.

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

You want tasks assigned to the account manager from column C

For each row in the 'New Clients' sheet, create a Teamcamp project using the client name from column A and start date from column B. Then add 8 tasks to each project — Kickoff Call, Contract Signed, Data Intake, System Setup, User Training, UAT, Go-Live, Handoff — and assign each task to the account manager listed in column C.

The standard task list lives in a separate tab and may change

For each row in the 'New Clients' sheet, create a Teamcamp project using the client name from column A. Then read the task names from the 'Onboarding Template' tab column A and add each one as a task in the newly created project.

You want task due dates set based on the start date

For each row in the 'New Clients' sheet, create a Teamcamp project. Add these tasks with due dates offset from the start date in column B: Kickoff Call due on start date, Contract Signed due start+3 days, Data Intake due start+7 days, System Setup due start+14 days, User Training due start+21 days, UAT due start+28 days, Go-Live due start+35 days, Handoff due start+42 days.

Full onboarding setup in one shot

For each row in the 'New Clients' sheet: create a Teamcamp project named after column A with start date from column B. Read onboarding task names from the 'Onboarding Template' tab column A. Add each task to the new project, assigned to the account manager in column C, with due dates offset from the start date per the schedule in 'Onboarding Template' column B. Write project IDs to column D and confirm task count in column E.

Six clients, fully scaffolded, before you pick up the phone for the first kickoff call.
