The Scenario
You run a home services company. You have five active job site addresses in a Google Sheet — the neighborhoods where you recently completed jobs — and your marketing plan is to mail postcards to every household within a mile of each site. You've used Thanks.io's radius search before for one address. Now you need to run it on all five and store the resulting list IDs so you can trigger the campaign.
The bad version:
- You open Thanks.io, navigate to the radius search tool, and enter the first address.
- The search returns a list ID and a recipient count. You copy both into the sheet manually.
- You go back to Thanks.io and run the search for the second address. You repeat this four more times.
Five lookups, five copy-paste operations, and you still haven't started the actual campaign. The neighbor window for the most recent job closes in a week.

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready
The radius should vary by job type
Larger commercial jobs warrant a wider reach. Column B already has a radius in miles for each row.
For each row in the Target Areas sheet, buy a Thanks.io radius mailing list centered on the address in column A with a radius equal to the value in column B miles, then write the returned list ID and recipient count into columns C and D.
Some addresses are incomplete
Three rows have a street but no city or state because the data came from an internal job log.
For each row in the Target Areas sheet where columns B and C are not blank, run a Thanks.io radius search on the full address in column A with a 1-mile radius and write the list ID into column D and recipient count into column E. For rows where city or state is missing, write "Incomplete address" in column D.
I want to run a smaller test radius first
Before buying the full 1-mile list, you want to see how many households fall within 0.25 miles.
Use Thanks.io radius search to build a mailing list around the address in cell B2 with a 0.25-mile radius, then write the new list ID into cell C2 and the recipient count into cell D2.
Standardize the addresses, then run all five radius searches
Some rows have "St." and some have "Street," and one address is missing a comma between street and city.
Normalize the addresses in column A to standard postal format (expand abbreviations, ensure city and state are present), then for each row run a Thanks.io radius search with a 1-mile radius and write the returned list ID and recipient count into columns B and C.
All five lookups run after the address cleanup in one pass.
