Export and Bulk Delete UniOne Tags From a Google Sheet

The Scenario

You have been the UniOne account manager for two years. Somewhere along the way, 60 ad-hoc tags accumulated in the account — campaign labels, test tags, one-off identifiers from integrations that no longer exist. A new team member asked what the tags mean. You could not answer. Tag cleanup has been on the backlog for three quarters.

The bad version:

  • Log into UniOne, navigate to tag management
  • The UI shows tags but not which messages or campaigns are using them — you have no context for what is still active
  • Copy tag names and IDs into a Sheet manually, one by one
  • Spend time researching which ones are still in use, then go back to UniOne to delete the 30 obsolete ones one at a time

The backlog item that was supposed to take an hour is now going to take a morning.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent that lives inside your Google Sheet. It reads the Sheet and calls the UniOne tag API to pull and then manage your tags without you navigating the UI for each one. Open the SheetXAI sidebar and start with the inventory step.

List all UniOne tags and write their IDs and names into this Google Sheet — one tag per row

What You Get

  • One row per tag: ID in column A, name in column B
  • All 60 tags in one pull, with no manual copying
  • Column C is left empty so you can mark each tag "keep" or "delete" before running the cleanup step

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

After marking column C, you want to delete the flagged ones

Delete every UniOne tag whose row is marked "delete" in column C of this Sheet

You want to see which tags have similar names so you can consolidate

List all UniOne tags into this Sheet, then add a column D that groups tags with similar names — for example, tags that differ only by a number or date suffix should share the same group label

You want to delete all tags whose ID appears in a named range

Export all UniOne tags into this Sheet, then delete all tags whose ID appears in the named range "to_delete"

Full tag hygiene pass in one shot

List all UniOne tags into the Tags tab with ID in column A and name in column B, highlight any tag whose name contains "test" or "old" in yellow, and then delete every tag whose row has "delete" in column C

You do the judgment call — keep or delete — in the Sheet. SheetXAI handles the API side in both directions.
