Export ActiveTrail Campaign Clickers and Openers to a Sheet

The Scenario

You are a sales manager. Last week's ActiveTrail campaign went out to 4,200 contacts. 340 of them clicked the product demo link.

Those 340 are your warmest leads. You need their names and emails in the Excel workbook the sales team uses before the morning standup so they can start calling.

The slow version:

  • You log into ActiveTrail and open the campaign report
  • You navigate to the clickers list, find the export button buried in the report UI
  • You download the CSV, open it in a separate Excel window
  • You copy the three columns you actually need, paste them into the sales tracker workbook
  • The paste lands in the wrong tab because the wrong sheet was active
  • It is 9:12 AM. The standup started at 9:00 and the team has nothing to call from.

The fast version is one prompt before you leave the office the night before.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent inside your Excel workbook that pulls campaign engagement data from ActiveTrail and writes it directly into the workbook — no dashboard navigation, no CSV cleanup.

Open the SheetXAI sidebar and type:

Get all contacts who clicked in ActiveTrail campaign ID 9981 and put their email, first name, last name, and click timestamp into the Leads tab of this workbook starting at row 2. Sort by click timestamp ascending.

SheetXAI calls ActiveTrail, fetches the 340 clickers, and writes them into the Leads tab. The sales team has their list before the standup.

What You Get

A clean clicker list in the Leads tab, ready for the team:

  • Email, first name, last name, click timestamp — one row per clicker
  • Sorted chronologically — earliest clickers (highest repeat intent) at the top
  • No extra columns — only what you asked for lands in the tab

The list is as fresh as the prompt. Run the same prompt tomorrow and it captures anyone who clicked between now and then. No re-downloading a CSV.

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

Real engagement exports have variations. SheetXAI handles them in the same prompt.

When you need clickers from multiple campaigns

The demo was promoted across three back-to-back campaigns and you want all clickers across all three.

Get all contacts who clicked in ActiveTrail campaigns 9981, 9982, and 9983. Write email, first name, and click timestamp to the Leads tab. Deduplicate by email so each contact appears only once, keeping the earliest click timestamp.

When you want to exclude existing customers

You have a list of current customers in the Customers tab (column A) and want to exclude them from follow-up.

Get all clickers from ActiveTrail campaign 9981. Cross-reference against column A of the Customers tab. Write only net-new clickers — those not in the Customers tab — into the Leads tab with email, first name, and click timestamp.

When you only want clickers who also opened

Some clickers are bot traffic from link scanners. You want contacts who both opened and clicked.

Get all contacts who both opened and clicked ActiveTrail campaign 9981. Write email, first name, open timestamp, and click timestamp to the Leads tab, sorted by click timestamp.

When you want a scored list for sales prioritization

The sales director wants the highest-intent leads at the top, scored by engagement level.

Pull all contacts who opened or clicked ActiveTrail campaign 9981. Assign a score: 2 points for clicking, 1 point for opening only. Write email, first name, open status, click status, and score to the Leads tab. Sort by score descending so the most engaged contacts are first.

The pattern: instead of exporting a flat list and sorting it in Excel, you describe the output you want and SheetXAI builds it directly into the right tab.
