The Scenario
You are a multichannel marketing manager. The Q3 channel review is next Wednesday. Your director wants SMS and email campaigns side by side — delivery rates, click rates, and unsubscribes — to decide whether to increase the SMS budget in Q4.
The email data is in a tab you already built. The SMS campaign data is in ActiveTrail, under a different dashboard section, and you have never exported it into Excel.
The slow version:
- You find the SMS campaigns section in ActiveTrail — it is not where you expected it
- You open each of the 14 SMS campaigns one at a time
- You write down sent count, delivered count, click rate, and unsubscribes for each on a notepad
- You type them into the Excel workbook by hand, next to your email campaign tab
- Halfway through you realize you missed three campaigns from early in the quarter
- You go back, finish at midnight, and still the comparison chart has "Q2" in the title.
The fast version is one prompt.
The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI
SheetXAI is an AI agent inside your Excel workbook that pulls SMS campaign data from ActiveTrail and writes it directly into the workbook — no dashboard navigation, no hand-typing metrics.
Open the SheetXAI sidebar and type:
Pull all ActiveTrail SMS campaigns from the last 3 months and write campaign name, send date, sent count, delivered count, click rate, and unsubscribes to the SMS Campaigns tab of this workbook starting at row 2. Sort by send date descending.
SheetXAI fetches every SMS campaign from the last quarter and writes them into the SMS Campaigns tab. Your email data is in the adjacent tab and the comparison is immediately possible.
What You Get
A complete SMS campaign performance table for the channel review:
- Campaign name, send date, sent count, delivered count, click rate, unsubscribes — one row per SMS campaign
- All 14 campaigns captured — nothing missed
- Ready to compare — the column structure matches the adjacent email tab
Credits consumed per campaign? ActiveTrail exposes that field — add it to the column list in the prompt and it lands in the workbook.
What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready
SMS campaign data has its own quirks. SheetXAI handles them in the same prompt.
When you want delivery rate as a calculated percentage column
Sent and delivered are counts, but the chart needs a percentage.
Pull all ActiveTrail SMS campaigns from the last 3 months and write campaign name, sent count, delivered count, click rate, and unsubscribes to the SMS Campaigns tab. Add a Delivery Rate column calculated as delivered count divided by sent count, formatted as a percentage.
When you want to combine SMS and email data in one tab for the comparison chart
You want a single table for the chart, not two separate tabs.
Pull all ActiveTrail SMS campaigns from the last 3 months. Append the rows below the existing email campaign rows in this workbook's Campaign Data tab. Add a Channel column with "SMS" for the new rows and "Email" for the existing rows. Sort the combined table by send date descending.
When you want monthly averages instead of campaign-level rows
The director wants a simpler summary — one row per month per channel.
Pull all ActiveTrail SMS campaigns from the last 3 months. Group by month and write one row per month to the SMS Monthly tab: month, total SMS campaigns sent, average delivery rate, average click rate. Pull the same monthly summary for email campaigns and write it to the Email Monthly tab. On the Comparison tab, show both side by side.
When you want the full cross-channel analysis — SMS data, delivery rate, comparison against email, and a chart in one prompt
The Wednesday deck needs the chart ready.
Pull all ActiveTrail SMS campaigns from the last 3 months and write them to the SMS tab with name, sent count, delivered count, delivery rate percentage, and click rate. On the Comparison tab, write average delivery rate and average click rate for SMS and for email campaigns (from the Email tab). Then create a bar chart on the Comparison tab comparing the two averages.
The pattern: instead of a separate dashboard session and manual entry, you describe the comparison you need and SheetXAI builds it across tabs.
