The Scenario
You are a multichannel marketing manager. The Q3 channel review is next Wednesday. Your director wants to see SMS and email campaigns side by side — delivery rates, click rates, and unsubscribes — to decide whether to increase the SMS budget in Q4.
The email data is easy enough to pull. The SMS campaign data is in ActiveTrail, buried under a different section of the dashboard, and you have never exported it.
The slow version:
- You find the SMS campaigns section in ActiveTrail — it is not where you expected
- You open each SMS campaign one at a time — there are 14
- You write down sent count, delivered count, click rate, and unsubscribes for each
- You type them into the Google Sheet by hand, next to the email campaign table you already built
- Halfway through you realize you missed three SMS campaigns from early in the quarter
- You go back in, find them, and finish at midnight. The chart still says "Q2" at the top.
The fast version is one prompt.
The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI
SheetXAI is an AI agent inside your spreadsheet that pulls SMS and email campaign data from ActiveTrail in one session — no dashboard navigation, no hand-typing metrics.
Open the SheetXAI sidebar and type:
Pull all ActiveTrail SMS campaigns from the last 3 months and write campaign name, send date, sent count, delivered count, click rate, and unsubscribes to this sheet starting at row 2. Sort by send date descending.
SheetXAI fetches every SMS campaign from the last quarter and writes them into the sheet. If you already have email campaign data in an adjacent tab, add a second prompt to pull that too and SheetXAI can compare them side by side.
What You Get
A complete SMS campaign performance table for the channel review:
- Campaign name, send date, sent count, delivered count, click rate, unsubscribes — one row per SMS campaign
- Sorted by send date — newest campaigns first
- Ready to compare — put this next to your email campaign tab and you have the cross-channel view
Delivery rate is in the data. If you want a delivery rate percentage column calculated from sent and delivered counts, add it to the prompt and SheetXAI writes the formula or does the math inline.
Want credits consumed per SMS campaign too? ActiveTrail exposes that field — add it to the column list in the prompt.
What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready
SMS campaign data has its own quirks. SheetXAI handles them in the same prompt.
When SMS campaign names use internal codes instead of readable names
Your team named campaigns things like "SMS-2026Q3-001" and the director will not know which is which.
Pull all ActiveTrail SMS campaigns from the last 3 months. Rename any campaign where the name starts with "SMS-" by replacing the code with a readable description based on the message content if available, or leave the original name with "(needs rename)" appended. Write all campaigns to this sheet with name, sent count, delivered count, and click rate.
When you want delivery rate as a percentage column
Sent and delivered are raw counts, but you need the percentage for the chart.
Pull all ActiveTrail SMS campaigns from the last 3 months and write campaign name, sent count, delivered count, click rate, and unsubscribes to this sheet. Add a Delivery Rate column calculated as delivered count divided by sent count, formatted as a percentage.
When you want SMS and email data combined in a single comparison table
You already have email data in a sheet and want SMS rows appended with a Channel column to tell them apart.
Pull all ActiveTrail SMS campaigns from the last 3 months. Append the rows to this sheet below the existing email campaign rows. Add a "Channel" column with "SMS" for the new rows and "Email" for the rows already in the sheet. Sort the combined table by send date descending.
When you want the full cross-channel analysis — SMS vs email, with averages and a chart
The director wants a one-slide summary with average delivery rate and click rate for each channel.
Pull all ActiveTrail SMS campaigns from the last 3 months and write them to the SMS tab with name, sent count, delivered count, click rate, and unsubscribes. Pull all ActiveTrail email campaigns from the last 3 months and write them to the Email tab with the same columns. On the Summary tab, write average delivery rate and average click rate for each channel. Then create a bar chart on the Summary tab comparing the two averages.
The pattern: instead of two separate dashboard sessions and a manual side-by-side, you describe the comparison you want and SheetXAI builds it across tabs.
