Run a Filtered Capsule CRM Export Into an Excel Workbook for Reporting

The Scenario

You are a sales analyst. The finance team needs a weighted pipeline forecast for the board pack, due tomorrow at noon. They want all open Capsule CRM opportunities in the Proposal milestone above £10,000, with party name, opportunity name, value, probability, and expected close date.

You have a blank Excel workbook waiting.

When the board pack needs VIP-tagged contacts exported instead of pipeline opportunities

The exec team wants a separate tab of all Capsule parties tagged "VIP" for a targeted campaign.

Export all Capsule CRM parties tagged "VIP" to the VIP Contacts tab of this workbook. Include email, phone, last contacted date, and open opportunity count per party. Sort alphabetically by party name.

When you need the export split by owner for individual rep reviews

The sales director wants each rep's opportunities on a separate tab.

Pull all open Capsule CRM opportunities in the Proposal milestone above £10,000. For each unique owner, create a separate tab named after that owner and write their opportunities into it with the standard five columns. Add a Summary tab listing each owner, their total pipeline value, and their deal count.

When the forecast needs both pipeline data and a one-paragraph commentary for the board

Finance wants the data plus a short written summary of pipeline health.

Pull all open Capsule CRM opportunities in the Proposal milestone above £10,000. Write them into the Pipeline tab with party name, opportunity name, value, probability, and expected close date.
