Export Jotform Account Activity History Into Google Sheets

The Scenario

You are a compliance officer at a financial services firm. Your IT team uses Jotform for internal request forms. The auditors have asked for a 30-day access log showing which Jotform actions were taken, by which user, on which form, and when.

You have until Friday afternoon. The log needs to go into an Excel workbook, formatted as a timestamped table, ready to export as a PDF for the audit file.

The bad version:

  • You log into Jotform's admin panel and look for an activity log
  • Jotform's user history is buried. You find it after fifteen minutes.
  • The UI shows 25 entries per page. Thirty days of activity has 340 entries.
  • You start copying rows manually into the workbook
  • By page 4 you stop. There are nine more pages.
  • The log you hand to the auditors covers six days, not thirty.

The fast version is one prompt.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent inside your Excel workbook that can call Jotform's user history API and write a complete, timestamped audit log into the workbook for you.

Open the SheetXAI sidebar and type:

Pull all Jotform account activity history and paste it into my Excel sheet as a log with columns: date, action type, and form affected.

SheetXAI calls Jotform's user history API, pages through all 340 entries, and writes the complete log into the workbook.

What You Get

A complete 30-day activity log in the workbook:

  • Date column — when the action occurred, in a consistent format
  • Action type column — what happened: form created, edited, submission viewed, etc.
  • Form affected column — which form the action was performed on

All 340 entries, not the ones you managed to copy before stopping. The log is complete from day one to today.

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

Audit logs usually need formatting and filtering before they land in a compliance file. SheetXAI handles it in the same prompt.

When timestamps are in a non-standard format

Jotform's API returns timestamps in ISO 8601 format, and your audit template expects DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM.

Fetch the Jotform user activity history for the past 30 days. Write action type, form name, and timestamp into columns A, B, C of the Audit Log tab. Convert the timestamp format from ISO 8601 to DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM in column C.

When you need to filter to a specific user's actions

The audit is specifically about one former employee's access during their last two weeks.

Fetch the Jotform user activity history for the past 30 days. Filter to actions performed by the user with email contractor@example.com. Write action type, form name, timestamp, and user email into the Audit Log tab.

When the auditors want actions grouped by form

The auditors want to see all actions on each form together, not sorted by date.

Fetch the Jotform user activity history for the past 30 days. Write action type, form name, and timestamp into the Audit Log tab, sorted by form name ascending and then by timestamp ascending within each form group.

When the full audit requires filtering, formatting, a summary count, and a cover note

The compliance file needs a full log, a summary count of sensitive actions, and an opening paragraph.

Fetch the Jotform user activity history for the past 30 days. Write action type, form name, and timestamp (formatted as DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM) into the Audit Log tab. In the Summary tab, write a count of each distinct action type. In cell A1 of the Summary tab, write a two-sentence paragraph describing the scope: dates covered, total number of actions recorded, and number of distinct forms accessed.

The pattern: pull the full log and add the compliance formatting in the same prompt.
