The Scenario
You are a sales enablement manager. Your company just completed a product rebrand and 80 email templates in Mixmax need to be updated with new product names, new positioning language, and updated CTAs.
The revised versions are in an Excel workbook: column A has the snippet ID, column B has the updated title, column C has the updated body.
Reps start using Mixmax again on Monday. Today is Thursday.
The bad version of the next two days:
- You open each Mixmax snippet individually, read the old copy, paste in the new copy from the workbook
- You realize the snippet IDs in the workbook do not match what you see in the Mixmax UI, which shows names, not IDs
- You spend an hour cross-referencing titles to find the right snippets
- By snippet 25 you notice you pasted the wrong body into one of them
- Monday arrives with 60 of 80 snippets updated, 3 of them wrong.
The fast version is one prompt.
The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI
SheetXAI is an AI agent inside your Excel workbook that reads the data and calls Mixmax directly, so you do not have to open a single snippet edit form.
Open the SheetXAI sidebar and type:
Bulk-update all 80 Mixmax snippets from this workbook — column A is the snippet ID, column B is the updated title, column C is the updated body. Write "Updated" or the error into column D for each row.
SheetXAI reads all 80 rows, calls Mixmax's snippet update API for each one, and writes the result into column D. Eighty snippets, one prompt, before the weekend.
What You Get
80 Mixmax snippets updated, with a status column showing what happened per row:
- "Updated" — the snippet was found by ID and updated with the new title and body
- Error message — for any row where the ID was not found or the update failed, so you know what to fix before Monday
The snippet ID is the reliable way to target the right record. Updating by name is brittle because two snippets can have the same title. Updating by ID is exact. If your workbook has the IDs, SheetXAI uses them.
Want to preview the changes before committing them? Tell SheetXAI to list the current title and first 50 characters of the current body for each snippet ID before updating. It adjusts.
What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready
Rebranded template workbooks have their own complications. SheetXAI handles them in the same prompt.
When the workbook has IDs but you need to verify they match the right snippets
You want to confirm the ID in column A corresponds to the expected snippet title before overwriting the body.
For each row in this workbook, fetch the current Mixmax snippet title for the ID in column A and write it into column D. Do not update anything yet. I will confirm before the updates run.
When some rows only have a new body, not a new title
Half the rows have an updated title in column B, the rest have a blank title because only the body changed.
Update each Mixmax snippet using the ID in column A. If column B has a new title, update both the title and the body. If column B is blank, update only the body using column C. Write the result into column D.
When the snippet IDs are missing and you only have titles
The workbook was built before you could get the IDs, so column A has snippet titles instead of IDs.
For each row in this workbook, find the Mixmax snippet whose title matches column A. Update its body with the content in column B. If no exact match is found, write "No match — review needed" into column C instead of updating.
When you need to update, verify, and report in one shot
You want to run the updates, then pull the updated snippet bodies from Mixmax to confirm the changes took, and write a summary of what was updated before Monday.
Update each Mixmax snippet using the ID in column A, new title in column B, and new body in column C. Write "Updated" or the error into column D. After all updates run, fetch the current body for each snippet ID and write the first 50 characters into column E so I can verify the changes are live.
The pattern: the workbook drives the update operation, and the status and verification columns give you confidence before reps start using the library.
Try It
Get the 7-day free trial of SheetXAI and open your revised template workbook, then ask SheetXAI to push the updates into Mixmax. The Mixmax integration is included in every SheetXAI plan.
