Export All Mixmax Snippets into an Excel Workbook for a Template Audit

The Scenario

You are a revenue ops manager at a 50-person company. The sales team has been using Mixmax for two years and the snippet library has grown to over 200 snippets with no real organization.

Before next quarter's sales kick-off, you want to consolidate duplicates, retire stale templates, and restructure the tags. Step one: get everything out of Mixmax and into an Excel workbook so you can actually see what you have.

The bad version of this pre-SKO week:

  • You open Mixmax's snippet list in the UI
  • You start copying snippet names and tags into the workbook by hand
  • There is no export button visible anywhere in the interface
  • You copy the first 30 snippets over two hours and realize you cannot paste the content without reformatting each time
  • Someone tells you there is an API endpoint
  • You spend another hour reading the API docs
  • The SKO is in three days and you have 30 of 200 snippets documented.

The fast version is one prompt.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent inside your Excel workbook that reads the data and calls Mixmax directly, so you do not have to hunt for an export button or read an API reference.

Open the SheetXAI sidebar and type:

List all Mixmax snippets and write snippet name, tag, and the first 100 characters of content into this workbook. One row per snippet.

SheetXAI pulls every snippet from Mixmax, writes the name, tag, and content preview into the workbook, and you have your full library documented before lunch.

What You Get

A complete snippet inventory for the audit:

  • Snippet name — the label the rep sees when they search for it in Gmail
  • Tag — the category it lives under in Mixmax
  • Content preview — the first 100 characters of the body, enough to spot duplicates at a glance

200 snippets visible in one workbook is the thing you cannot do in the Mixmax UI. You can sort by tag, filter for snippets missing a tag, and spot "Follow-up after demo v1," "Follow-up after demo v2," and "Follow-up after demo FINAL" sitting next to each other immediately.

Want the full content body instead of a preview? Tell SheetXAI to write the full body text instead. It adjusts.

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

A two-year-old snippet library has its own accumulated mess. SheetXAI handles the reshaping in the same prompt.

When tags are inconsistent

Some snippets say "Follow Up," some say "follow-up," some say "Followup." You want them normalized before you start the audit.

List all Mixmax snippets. Normalize the tag values to title case before writing them into the workbook. Write snippet name, normalized tag, and the first 100 characters of content into this workbook.

When you want to see the full tag inventory first

Before auditing individual snippets, you want a summary of how many snippets live under each tag.

Export all Mixmax snippet tags with each tag's name and snippet count into this workbook. One row per tag, sorted by snippet count descending.

When you only want to audit one category

You are starting with the "Prospecting" snippets before moving to the rest.

List all Mixmax snippets with the tag "Prospecting." Write snippet name, tag, and the first 200 characters of content into this workbook. Sort by snippet name ascending.

When you need the full audit output in one shot

You want the tag summary, the full snippet inventory with content previews, and a flag for snippets missing a tag, all before the SKO prep call.

List all Mixmax snippets. Write snippet name, tag, and the first 100 characters of content into the Snippets tab. In the Summary tab, write one row per tag showing the tag name and snippet count. In the Snippets tab, add a flag in column D that says "No tag" for any snippet with a blank tag.

The pattern: instead of building the audit piecemeal, you describe the full output and SheetXAI assembles it from the Mixmax API in one pass.
