Bulk-Apply Tag Assignments to Nozbe Teams Tasks From a Tagging Workbook

The Scenario

You are a marketing manager. Last week your team restructured a campaign project and reassigned 50 tasks to reflect the new taxonomy. Tags like "Q2" and "High Priority" need to be applied to the right tasks, but they are not in Nozbe yet.

You have a tagging workbook: column A is Task ID, column B is Tag Name. 50 rows. The project re-review is tomorrow at 10 AM.

The bad version of this evening:

  • You open Nozbe and search for Task ID 1
  • You click the task, find the tag field, search for the tag, apply it, save
  • You find Task ID 2
  • You repeat this for all 50 rows
  • You apply the wrong tag on row 23 because "Q2 Campaign" and "Q2 Launch" look similar in the dropdown
  • You walk into the review with a third of the tasks still untagged.

The fast version is one prompt.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent inside your Excel workbook that reads every row and applies the tag assignment to the right Nozbe task, so you never have to open the UI.

Open the SheetXAI sidebar and type:

Read my Excel tag-mapping workbook (Task ID in column A, Tag in column B) and bulk-assign the correct Nozbe Teams tags to every listed task.

SheetXAI reads all 50 rows and applies each tag to the correct task in Nozbe. Fifty assignments, one prompt.

What You Get

Fifty Nozbe tasks, each with the correct tag applied:

  • Tag assignments — applied from the tag name in column B to the task ID in column A
  • No mismatches — SheetXAI uses the task ID directly, not a search
  • Batch processing — all 50 rows in one operation, not 50 individual clicks

If a tag name does not exist in your Nozbe workspace, SheetXAI creates it before applying it. You do not have to pre-create tags manually.

Have multiple tags to apply to a single task? Add a second tag column and update the prompt. SheetXAI handles multi-tag assignments.

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

Tag mapping workbooks assembled after a restructure are often inconsistent. SheetXAI handles cleanup and assignment in the same prompt.

When tag names have inconsistent capitalization

Some rows say "high priority," some say "High Priority," some say "HIGH PRIORITY." Nozbe tags are case-sensitive.

Normalize all tag names in column B to title case before applying them. Then apply tag assignments to every task in column A of the workbook.

When some tasks need multiple tags

Column B has a comma-separated list for some rows, like "Q2, High Priority." Each tag needs to be applied separately.

For each row in the workbook, split the tag value in column B on commas and apply each tag individually to the Nozbe task in column A.

When some task IDs are no longer valid

The workbook was compiled two weeks ago and some tasks may have been deleted since.

For each row, apply the tag in column B to the Nozbe task in column A. If a task ID is not found, write "Task not found" in column C instead of failing. Continue processing all remaining rows.

When you want a full cleanup plus tagging in one shot

The workbook also has tasks with outdated tags that need to be removed before the new ones are applied.

For each row in the workbook, first remove all existing tags from the Nozbe task in column A. Then apply the tag listed in column B. Write "Done" in column C for each successful row.

The pattern: describe the full tag operation — cleanup and application — in one prompt. SheetXAI handles the sequencing.
