The Scenario
You are an email marketing manager. The creative retrospective is next Friday — two hours with the creative team to decide which campaign formats and send strategies to double down on for H2.
You need a six-month campaign comparison in an Excel workbook before that meeting: campaign name, channel, send date, open rate, click rate, and attributed revenue, sorted by revenue so the room can immediately see which sends drove purchasing.
The bad version of this week:
- You open Omnisend's reports section
- See aggregate numbers but not the per-campaign breakdown you need
- Export what you can — realize attributed revenue is in a separate export from the engagement stats
- Download both, paste into Excel, discover the campaign names do not match exactly between exports
- Spend a morning reconciling before you can even start the analysis
- Go into the retrospective with a half-finished workbook.
The fast version is one prompt and the comparison is ready before your next meeting.
The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI
SheetXAI reads the Omnisend API and writes campaign data directly into your Excel workbook, sorted and structured the way you need it, without reconciling two separate exports.
Open the SheetXAI sidebar and type:
Fetch all Omnisend campaigns from this year and dump them into my Google Sheet, then add a column G with cumulative revenue to show which campaigns drove 80 percent of total revenue for a Pareto analysis.
SheetXAI calls the Omnisend campaigns endpoint, extracts the six fields, writes the sorted table, and adds the cumulative revenue column all in one pass.
What You Get
A single sorted table covering every campaign from the past six months:
- Campaign name — pulled directly from Omnisend, no reconciliation
- Channel — email or SMS, filterable
- Send date — consistently formatted
- Open rate and click rate — percentages, ready for charting
- Revenue — sorted descending so your top performers are first
- Cumulative revenue column — added automatically for the Pareto analysis
Everything is in one tab, not two exports you have to reconcile. From here you can filter by channel, add conditional formatting, or ask SheetXAI to build a pivot-style summary.
What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready
Campaign exports always have some noise. SheetXAI handles them inline.
When campaign names include test sends
A/B test variants and internal test sends should not appear in the retrospective comparison.
List all Omnisend campaigns from the past 6 months. Exclude any campaign where the name contains "test" (case-insensitive). Write the filtered results into the Campaigns tab, columns A through F, sorted by revenue descending.
When you want email and SMS in separate tabs
The creative team and the performance team review different channels. They want separate tabs.
List all Omnisend campaigns from the past 6 months. Write email campaigns into the "Email" tab and SMS campaigns into the "SMS" tab, each sorted by revenue descending. Add a summary row at the top of each tab with total revenue and average open rate for that channel.
When you need to flag underperforming open rates
Some campaigns had great revenue but poor open rates — the subject line did not pull its weight. You want those identified.
After writing the campaign list to the Campaigns tab, add a column G. For any campaign where the open rate is below the average open rate across all campaigns, write "LOW OPEN RATE" in column G.
When you want the full Pareto analysis in one shot
You want the pull, the cumulative revenue column, and the 80-percent cutoff flagged, all in one prompt.
Fetch all Omnisend campaigns from the past 6 months. Write campaign name, channel, send date, open rate, click rate, and revenue into the Campaigns tab, sorted by revenue descending. Add column G as cumulative revenue (running total). Add column H marking each row "Top 80%" until the cumulative total crosses 80 percent of total revenue, then "Tail" for the rest. Write total campaign count into cell I1.
The pattern: the pull and the analysis are one instruction. You walk into the retrospective with the answer, not the data.
Try It
Get the 7-day free trial of SheetXAI and open any Excel workbook, then ask it to pull your Omnisend campaign stats. The Omnisend integration is included in every SheetXAI plan. For related workflows, see how to export order history for attribution in Excel or the Omnisend in Excel overview.
