The Scenario
The support queue has been building all week. Sixty customers have written in saying their coupon codes were rejected at checkout — they're requesting replacements, and some of them are getting impatient. Someone on the team has been copying the codes into an Excel workbook as tickets come in. The codes are in column A. Before you issue 60 replacements that may not be necessary, someone needs to check which codes are actually valid.
That someone is you, apparently. And Payhip doesn't have a bulk verification view.
The bad version:
- Open Payhip's coupon manager, use the search bar to find the first code from your workbook, read the status and discount value, and type the result manually into columns B and C.
- Go back to the workbook, find the next code, return to Payhip, search again.
- Repeat 59 more times, trying to stay accurate while doing something mind-numbing at speed because the support backlog is waiting.
Every minute spent on this is a minute the support tickets age. And if the workbook has any typos or inconsistently formatted codes, you might misreport the status on a handful of them — which means more tickets, not fewer.

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

You only want to re-verify codes that previously came back as invalid
For each row in the "Support Tickets" worksheet where "Status" says "invalid", re-verify the coupon code in "Coupon Code" against Payhip and overwrite "Status" with the fresh result and "Discount Value" with the discount amount.
The ticket worksheet has duplicate coupon codes submitted by different customers
Identify duplicate values in the "Coupon Code" column of the "Support Tickets" worksheet and mark them in a "Duplicate" column. For each unique code, verify once against Payhip and write the status into "Status" and the discount amount into "Discount Value". Copy the result to all rows sharing that code.
Full triage in one prompt — clean codes, verify, flag invalids, note which customers to replace
