Export Your Productboard Feature Roadmap to a Excel workbook

The Scenario

The VP of Product needs a clean feature list in a formatted Excel workbook before the quarterly business review. You're the product ops manager. Productboard has everything — feature name, status, owner, timeframe, component — but the CSV export doesn't include all fields, strips the component hierarchy, and arrives unsorted.

The bad version:

  • Export the Productboard CSV. Open in Excel. Notice the "Owner" column is missing entirely.
  • Manually look up owners for 40 features by clicking through each one in Productboard.
  • Build the table at midnight, then get an email at 7 AM: two features changed status yesterday and the QBR is at 9.

A slide built on 18-hour-old data generates the wrong kind of conversation at a quarterly review.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent that lives inside your Excel workbook. It reads your workbook and pulls live data from Productboard through its built-in integration. Open the SheetXAI sidebar and describe exactly what you need.

List all Productboard features with status "planned" or "in-progress" and write each feature's name, status, owner, timeframe, and parent component into this Excel sheet starting at row 2

What You Get

  • Every planned and in-progress feature written as a row, one feature per row.
  • Columns: feature name, status, owner, timeframe label, parent component name.
  • The list reflects the live Productboard state at the moment you run the prompt — not a stale CSV from yesterday.
  • Features with no owner assigned show "unassigned" rather than a blank cell.

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

You only want features from one product area

List all Productboard features with status "planned" or "in-progress" where the parent component name contains "Payments" and write name, status, owner, and timeframe into this workbook starting at row 2

You want to group by release

Export all Productboard features assigned to a release, grouped by release name — write release name in column A, feature name in column B, status in column C, and owner in column D. Leave a blank row between each release group.

The timeframes are returning IDs instead of labels

List all Productboard timeframe definitions and write the timeframe ID and label into Sheet2. Then use those labels when pulling features into Sheet1 column D instead of raw timeframe IDs.

The full pull-and-format for a QBR workbook

Fetch all Productboard features with status "planned" or "in-progress". Write them sorted first by parent component A to Z, then by timeframe earliest first, then feature name A to Z. Columns: component in A, feature name in B, status in C, owner in D, timeframe in E. Bold the header row.

One prompt, sorted and formatted, ready to drop into the deck.
