The Scenario
You are the fulfillment coordinator at an e-commerce store. Your company cancels around 20 orders per week after labels are already purchased. When a cancellation comes in, the label needs to be voided and a refund requested from Shippo before the carrier scans the package.
Your team logs Shippo transaction IDs in the Label Voids tab of an Excel workbook all week. It is Friday afternoon and you have 22 to process.
The bad version:
- You open the Shippo dashboard, search for transaction ID one
- You find it, click void, confirm the refund request, note the refund status
- You switch to Excel, type the status into column B
- You do this 21 more times
- It is 4:40 PM and the dashboard just timed out on number 17.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

Note that Shippo refund timelines vary by carrier. The status in column B tells you whether Shippo accepted the request, not whether the carrier has credited the amount yet.
What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

When some transaction IDs were already submitted midweek
You ran a partial batch Wednesday and some rows in column A already have statuses in column B.
Skip any row in my Label Voids tab that already has a value in column B. For all rows where column B is empty, request a Shippo refund for the transaction ID in column A and write the refund status into column B.
When some transactions are no longer eligible because the carrier already scanned them
You want to know before you submit which ones will come back ineligible.
For each transaction ID in column A of my Label Voids tab, check whether the transaction is still eligible for a refund before submitting. If eligible, create the Shippo refund and write the status into column B. If not eligible, write "INELIGIBLE" into column B.
When you need a reason code for each refund for your finance team
Finance tracks cancellation reasons for their monthly report and needs a reason-code column.
For each transaction ID in column A of my Label Voids tab, request a Shippo refund where column B is empty. Write the refund status into column B. Read the cancellation reason from column C and write a formatted note into column D: "Refund requested: [reason]."
When you want to submit refunds, check eligibility, and produce a weekly summary for ops reporting in one shot
Your ops report includes a weekly label waste metric that needs total refunds submitted and total estimated recovery.
Request Shippo refunds for all transaction IDs in column A of my Label Voids tab where column B is empty. Write the refund status into column B. Then add a summary section at the bottom of the tab showing: total refunds submitted this week, total label cost covered by the requests (sum of column C where status is not "INELIGIBLE"), and count of ineligible rows.
The pattern: submit, check eligibility, and quantify the week's label waste in one prompt.
