The Scenario
A dependency shift just landed. You are a product manager. Fifty in-flight Trello cards need a status comment posted today — each with a slightly different note based on the team it affects. You have an Excel workbook with card IDs in column A and the tailored message for each card in column B. The comments need to go out before people start working.
The bad version:
- Open the first Trello card. Scroll to comments. Paste the message from column B. Save.
- Open the second card. Paste the message. Save.
- Fifty cards. Fifty copy-paste operations between two applications. By card 30, you're abbreviating the messages.
Comments are how you keep people informed without a Slack thread that collapses into noise. But posting 50 of them by hand means the information travels slower than the problem it's supposed to address.

For each row in this workbook, extract the Trello card ID from the URL in column A. Post the comment from column B to that card. Write 'posted' or the error message into column C.
Validate IDs, post comments, flag failures, and summarize results
For each row in this workbook, verify the Trello card ID in column A exists. If it does, post the comment from column B and write 'posted' in column C. If not, write 'card not found'. Add a summary row at the bottom showing how many succeeded and how many failed.
