The Scenario
You are a digital marketing manager at an e-commerce brand. The quarterly business review is Friday. Your CMO wants to know which email campaigns performed best this quarter and whether open rates are trending up or down.
Twenty campaigns went out over the last 90 days. All the data is in ActiveTrail. None of it is in a sheet.
The slow version of Wednesday:
- You log into ActiveTrail and open each campaign report one by one
- You write down open rate, click rate, and bounce rate for each — or screenshot them
- You manually build a Google Sheet table from your notes
- You realize row 14 is for a campaign you forgot to include and your row numbers are off
- You build a chart and immediately realize the scale is wrong because one outlier campaign skewed it
- The Friday deck goes out with a chart that says "Q1" in the title because you forgot to update it.
The fast version is one prompt before you close your laptop Wednesday.
The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI
SheetXAI is an AI agent inside your spreadsheet that reads ActiveTrail campaign data and writes it directly into the sheet — without you logging into ActiveTrail's dashboard once.
Open the SheetXAI sidebar and type:
Pull all ActiveTrail campaign reports from the last 90 days into this sheet. Include campaign name, send date, sent count, open rate, click rate, and bounce rate. Sort by open rate descending. Add a summary row at the bottom with averages across all campaigns.
SheetXAI calls ActiveTrail, fetches every campaign from the last 90 days, writes them into the sheet in the order you asked, and adds the summary row. The sheet is ready before you get to the end of the sidebar.
What You Get
A clean campaign performance table for the QBR:
- One row per campaign — campaign name, send date, sent count, open rate, click rate, bounce rate
- Sorted by open rate — best performers at the top
- Summary row — averages across all 20 campaigns for the deck's headline numbers
The averages are based on the actual numbers, not on what you remembered from looking at the dashboard. If your average open rate is 24.3%, that is what the summary row says.
Want to add a trend? Tell SheetXAI to add a column flagging whether each campaign's open rate was above or below the quarter average. One follow-up prompt, done.
What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready
Real campaign data has edge cases. SheetXAI handles them in the same prompt.
When some campaigns are tests or internal sends
You have a few rows that are internal test campaigns — subject lines like "TEST — do not send" — and you do not want them in the QBR table.
Pull all ActiveTrail campaign reports from the last 90 days. Exclude any campaign where the name contains "TEST" or "INTERNAL". Write the remaining campaigns to this sheet sorted by send date, with campaign name, open rate, click rate, and bounce rate.
When you want to group campaigns by month
The CMO wants to see monthly averages, not individual campaigns.
Pull all ActiveTrail campaign reports from the last 90 days. Group by month and write one row per month showing average open rate, average click rate, average bounce rate, and total sends. Add a row for the overall quarter average at the bottom.
When click-to-open rate is the number that matters
Your boss asked specifically for CTOR, which ActiveTrail does not always surface directly.
Pull all ActiveTrail campaign reports from the last 90 days — campaign name, open rate, click rate. Calculate click-to-open rate as (click rate divided by open rate) and write it into a new column. Flag campaigns where CTOR is below 10% in a separate column.
When you want the full picture — raw data, analysis, and a chart
You have not looked at the data yet. You want the pull, the analysis, and a visualization in one go.
Pull all ActiveTrail campaigns from the last 90 days into this sheet — name, send date, open rate, click rate, bounce rate. Calculate CTOR and add it as column G. Identify the top 3 and bottom 3 campaigns by open rate and flag them. Then create a line chart on a new tab showing open rate and click rate by send date.
The pattern: instead of pulling the data first and then analyzing it, you describe the whole task and SheetXAI handles it end to end. The chart is ready before the QBR.
Try It
Get the 7-day free trial of SheetXAI and open a blank sheet, then ask it to pull your last quarter of ActiveTrail campaign data. The ActiveTrail integration is included in every SheetXAI plan.
