The Scenario
It is the last Thursday of the month. You have a stakeholder report due tomorrow covering all 15 active Productlane projects — progress percentage, upvote count, and current state for each. The data lives in Productlane. The report template is a Google Sheet.
You have done this three times before and each time it took about an hour of clicking.
The bad version:
- Open the Productlane projects list and click into each project to find the progress percentage.
- Note that upvote counts are not visible in the list view — you have to open each project individually to get the number.
- After project 8 you lose track of which ones you have already copied and have to cross-reference with the sheet.
The report is due to leadership by 9 AM Friday and it is already 4 PM Thursday. The clicking approach is not going to work anymore.
The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI
SheetXAI is an AI agent that lives inside your Google Sheet. It reads your Productlane workspace and pulls the full project list — with progress and upvote counts — directly into the sheet.
List all Productlane projects and write project name, status, progress percentage, and upvote count into columns A through D of this sheet
What You Get
- Column A: project name
- Column B: project status (active, completed, planned, etc.)
- Column C: progress percentage as a number
- Column D: customer upvote count for each project
- All 15 active projects in the workspace in one pass
What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready
You only want projects with at least one customer upvote
List all Productlane projects where upvote count is greater than zero — write project name, status, progress percentage, and upvote count into columns A through D — sort by upvote count descending
You want to include completed projects for comparison
List all Productlane projects including completed ones — write project name, status, progress percentage, and upvote count into columns A through D — sort by status (active first) then by progress percentage descending
You also need the project description for the stakeholder narrative
List all Productlane projects and write project ID, name, description, state, progress percentage, and upvote count into columns A through F — sort by upvote count descending
Full snapshot, filtered, sorted, and described in one step
List all Productlane projects — exclude any with status "cancelled" — write project name, status, progress percentage, upvote count, and first 150 characters of the project description into columns A through E — sort by upvote count descending then by progress percentage descending
One prompt, a complete stakeholder sheet, and still time to review it before you send.
Try It
Get the 7-day free trial of SheetXAI and open the stakeholder report spreadsheet, then ask it to pull your Productlane project list. You can combine this with an export of open customer insights or a full issues snapshot to round out the monthly report.
