Export ProAbono Tax Profiles to Excel for VAT Compliance Audits

The Scenario

You are a CFO preparing for a VAT audit covering 3 EU countries. Your tax advisor needs an Excel workbook showing all ProAbono tax profiles, their rates, and any country-specific exception rates, to verify that your billing configuration matches what you filed.

The audit is in ten days. You have never looked at the tax profile configuration in ProAbono directly.

The bad version:

  • You open ProAbono's tax settings and find a list of profiles with names like "EU Standard," "EU Reduced," and "Exempt"
  • You start copying profile ID, name, label, rate, and description into Excel one by one
  • There are 12 profiles and each has multiple exception rates for different countries
  • You copy the exceptions manually for each profile, mixing up which exception belongs to which profile twice
  • Your tax advisor emails back asking for the country and region columns you did not include
  • You go back and re-copy the exceptions with country and region added
  • You deliver the tax audit workbook four days late.

The fast version is one prompt.

The Easy Way: One Prompt in SheetXAI

SheetXAI is an AI agent inside your Excel workbook that can pull ProAbono tax profiles and their exceptions so you do not have to copy them manually from the UI.

Open the SheetXAI sidebar and type:

List all ProAbono tax profiles and write profile ID, name, label, tax rate, and description into the Profiles tab of this workbook. Then list all ProAbono tax profile exceptions and write profile name, country, region, exception rate, and applicability into the Exceptions tab.

SheetXAI queries both endpoints, writes the profiles into the Profiles tab and the exceptions into the Exceptions tab. Your tax advisor has everything they need in one workbook.

What You Get

A two-tab tax audit package:

  • Profiles tab — profile ID, name, label, tax rate, description for every profile in ProAbono
  • Exceptions tab — country-level exceptions with profile name, country, region, exception rate, and applicability

Every profile and every exception is captured, not just the ones you happened to scroll past in the UI.

What If the Data Is Not Quite Ready

Tax audit prep has its own complexity. SheetXAI handles it inline.

When you need to filter to EU profiles only

Your audit only covers EU countries. You want to exclude non-EU tax profiles from the advisor's review.

List all ProAbono tax profiles. Filter to profiles that have exceptions for EU countries only. Write profile ID, name, and standard rate into the Profiles tab. Write the EU country exceptions (country, region, exception rate) into the Exceptions tab.

When you need to flag profiles with zero rates

Zero-rate VAT treatment is subject to special documentation requirements and the advisor wants to review those separately.

List all ProAbono tax profiles and their exceptions. Flag any profile or exception with a tax rate of 0 in column F with "ZERO RATE — review required." Write all profiles into the Profiles tab.

When you need to cross-reference against your filed VAT rates

Your tax advisor has a reference workbook with expected rates per country in column A. They want to know if any ProAbono exception rates do not match.

List all ProAbono tax profile exceptions and write profile name, country, region, and exception rate into columns A–D of the Exceptions tab. Then check each row against the Expected Rates tab (country in column A, expected rate in column B) and flag any mismatch in column E as "RATE MISMATCH."

When you need to understand the full billing impact of a rate change

The EU is increasing the standard rate in France from 20% to 21% next quarter and you need to know how many customers are billed at the current French rate.

List all ProAbono tax profile exceptions for country code 'FR'. Write profile name, current exception rate, and applicability into columns A, B, and C of the Exceptions tab. Then list all active subscriptions and flag any customer whose billing address is in France in column D of the Subscriptions tab.

The pattern: instead of copying tax configuration manually from the ProAbono UI, you ask for both profiles and exceptions in one prompt and SheetXAI pulls both.
