How to Connect Reddit Ads to Google Sheets (4 Methods Compared)

The Problem with Getting Reddit Ads Data Into Your Sheet

Reddit Ads is a real performance channel. Subreddit-level targeting, interest audiences, custom audience retargeting, ad group segmentation. The campaigns run, the data accumulates, and at some point every paid media manager needs that data in a spreadsheet, to report on it, to brief a new campaign, to audit what changed.

The Reddit Ads interface is not a reporting tool. It is a campaign manager. If you want to see fourteen campaigns side by side in a format you can analyze, manipulate, filter, or share, you have to get the data out. And getting it out without something helping you is more work than it should be.

Below are the four ways people typically pull Reddit Ads data into Google Sheets. Only the last one handles the full range of work.

Method 1: Download the CSV Export and Paste It Into the Sheet

The built-in path. You log into Ads Manager, run a date range report, export a CSV, open Google Sheets, and paste it in. Clean enough for a one-off. A real tax if it is recurring.

When this works:

  • You need a report once, not on a schedule
  • One campaign or one ad group, not a full account
  • You have time to clean the headers and format the columns yourself

When it breaks:

  • Any time the client asks for the same report next week
  • Ad group breakdowns, which require a separate export from a different report surface
  • Anything that needs more than one report type combined in the same sheet
  • The export format changes and your paste breaks every formula downstream

The core problem is the format Ads Manager exports is not the format your client wants. Column names are wrong, date formats are inconsistent, campaign names are truncated. You spend as long cleaning the paste as you do actually doing analysis.

Method 2: Use Zapier or Make to Sync Reddit Ads Data to a Sheet

The automation path. You wire up Zapier or Make to watch your Reddit Ads account and push new data into the sheet when something changes or on a schedule.

This works for event-driven moments:

  • New campaign created → log it to a tracking sheet
  • Ad paused → record the pause event
  • Daily spend crosses a threshold → send a row to a budget log

This fails for analytical or batch work:

  • Pulling a 30-day performance breakdown across all ad groups
  • Comparing this week's CPCs to last week's by subreddit
  • Bulk-creating 8 campaigns from a brief in one go

Event triggers fire on single events, not on a reporting window. They do not aggregate, they do not compare, they do not read a column of keywords and run 20 API calls against them. And the per-task cost in Zapier climbs quickly once you start chaining three or four steps per campaign.

Method 3: The Previous Generation — Reddit Ads Connector Add-Ons

Until recently, the best option for pulling Reddit Ads data into a sheet on a schedule was a category of connector add-ons that let you configure a data source once and refresh on a timer. You picked your account, chose the metrics, saved the configuration, and scheduled the sync.

That was a meaningful step up from manual CSV exports. The data arrived clean, the refresh happened without you, and the team stopped emailing CSV files back and forth.

But you were still responsible for configuring the field selection, the date range logic, the filter conditions, and anything that required combining data from two different report types. The connector moved the data. You still had to decide what data, in what shape, for what purpose. And connectors do not bulk-create campaigns, they do not build custom audiences from an email column, and they do not look at a targeting matrix and turn it into ad groups.

This is the category we think of as the previous generation. It worked for read-only reporting. It asked you to do everything else yourself.

The Easy Way: Using SheetXAI in Google Sheets

There is a different way entirely. SheetXAI is an AI agent that lives inside your Google Sheet. It reads the sheet, understands what you are trying to do, and through its built-in Reddit Ads integration it can pull reports, create campaigns, build audiences, and log results, all from a plain-English prompt. No configuration panel, no field mapping, no automation builder.

Example 1: Your Sheet Is a Reporting Canvas

You have a Google Sheet open and you want last month's campaign performance, all fifteen active campaigns, with spend, impressions, clicks, CPC, and CTR.

Fetch a Reddit Ads performance report for all campaigns in the last 30 days and write campaign name, spend, impressions, clicks, CPC, and CTR into columns A through F. Sort by spend descending.

SheetXAI calls the Reddit Ads API, formats the response into the columns you asked for, and writes the data into the sheet. The client report is ready before you finish your coffee.

Example 2: Your Sheet Is a Campaign Brief

You have eight new campaigns planned in the sheet, one per row, with campaign name in column A, objective in column B, and daily budget in column C. The launch deadline is tomorrow.

For each row in this sheet, create a Reddit Ads campaign using the name in column A, objective in column B, and daily budget in column C. Write the campaign ID into column D for each row.

SheetXAI reads each row, creates each campaign via the Reddit Ads API, and logs the campaign IDs back into column D. One prompt, eight campaigns created, zero trips into Ads Manager.

Which Method Should You Use

For a true one-off report where you need the data fast and will not touch it again, exporting a CSV from Ads Manager is the path of least resistance. For logging single events as they happen, Zapier or Make are a reasonable fit.

For anything that involves pulling structured data across multiple campaigns, creating multiple entities from a sheet, or combining reporting with analysis and output in a single step, SheetXAI is the only option that handles it in one prompt without a configuration layer. The Reddit Ads integration works for both read (reporting, auditing, audience export) and write (campaign creation, ad group creation, catalog uploads, audience building) in the same tool.

If you are running Reddit Ads for multiple clients, or if your team runs these reports weekly, the time saved on the third report pays back the cost of the first.
