Straico Has Shut Down: What It Means for Your SheetXAI Integration

The Problem

If you had Straico set as your API provider (BYOK) in SheetXAI, your requests are now failing — errors like:

  • HTTP 500: {"error":"Forbidden","success":false}
  • HTTP 422: "...This might be due to: Moderation of specific content. Excessively large context. High demands on our LLM providers..."
  • Straico API error 500 on other operations, including PDF/OCR requests

Why This Is Happening

Straico has shut down. This is not a SheetXAI issue and there's no setting to fix it — Straico's API is no longer available, so any request routed through it will fail.

What To Do

Switch your API key over to OpenRouter, which covers the same range of text/chat models Straico did:

  1. Follow How to Get an OpenRouter API Key (and Add Credits) to create a key and paste it into SheetXAI in place of Straico
  2. For image/video generation specifically, use Fal AI instead — OpenRouter doesn't cover that
